But they can't, after all "There can be only one". Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Well, considering the last movie... I'm not sure how it'd be possible to go any...

Wait. This is Hollywood. I retract my statement. :(

I suspect they would simply go with the main trend these days, which is to completely ignore the existing films and start again. After all it only had Sean Connery in it.

From what I read, thats what they're doing. Recasting Conner and everything.
They say that in the Army,
the women are mighty fine.
They look like Phyllis Diller,
and walk like Frankenstein.

Well, let's be honest here for Highlander. Aside from the first movie and maybe the TV show, the rest is distilled suck.

The first film was very good. The rest, well that falls into the category of 'There should have been only one'.

Agreed. I fucking love the first film. So cool, so mythic. Explaining enough to get you hooked... but not too much to spoil the mysteries.

I concur with the first film. The TV show too, which I always took to have taken place in an alternate universe.

But they had an animae movie....Highlander: The Search of Vengance that was pretty good, for what it was.

The first film also had a soundtrack by Queen, which the TV series also used. These two parts of the franchise, barring the anime film are the only good parts of the franchise. I can't comment on the anime since I haven't seen it.

But... coincidence? I think not. ;)

I remember I really liked that song.

I'm waiting for a Silverhawks and Thundercats live action movie. I mean, why not? They've done GI Joe, Transformers, Flintstones, Smurfs, Richie Rich, Yogi Bear, and Scooby Doo. Hell, they even made movies of board games! Remember Clue, and now Battleship.
Some of you comic geeks from way back may remember in the mid-80's when MArvel did Assistant Editor's month. Nightcrawler of the X-Men made an appearance in one issue of Crystar - Crystal Warrior. It was touted as "The story they said couldn't SHOULDN'T be done." That's pretty much where i'm at with most of these Saturday Morning cartoons made into movies.

I'm waiting for the Backgammon movie, personally.

Personally, I just can't wait for "Shuffleboard: The Adventure Movie" from Michael Bay...
