I loved how when they (humans) couldn't stop the Cybermen with bullets, they started throwing grenades. So badass. 8)RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:I loved Zoe in that scene.Royal_Foxx wrote:THEY SHOT DOWN THE CYBERMEN WITH A RUSSIAN MISSILE!!!!
Tonight I'm watching The War Games. It has to go back Saturday. Then I'm requesting the other ones. I hope I didn't lose the list.

Oh, yeah. UNIT was particularly badass in the Invasion. I loved that it wasn't just the Doc, but everyone pulling together to stop the Cybermen.Royal_Foxx wrote: I loved how when they (humans) couldn't stop the Cybermen with bullets, they started throwing grenades. So badass. 8)

Just finished the second DVD of The War Games, Dr. Who - Patrick Troughton. I wanted to finish it tonight, but I think I need to go to sleep. I can finish it tomorrow.

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
Not sure if I should put this is here, or start a new thread, but any ways:
Basically, for ages now I just feel that I should be out in the world somewhere helping someone/people, putting my heart to good use. I'd like to get involved in some sort of volunteer work abroad. I don't really have money, so I can't really donate money to projects, so instead I'd like to donate my time and heart to something. I've been thinking about it for about a year now, but I have no idea where to start looking for something. Does anyone have any ideas?
Some sort of local community work would be ideal, as I enjoy working closely with people and getting to know individuals. I'm sure there must be some sort of organisation that could use some manpower, and an extra heart.
If anyone has any ideas that'd be great. In the meantime I shall continue to look myself

A church of decent size can usually put you in touch with local charities for the homeless and needy. Rotary Clubs as well.
In the states, many Masonic Lodges will send tradesmen to repair dilapidated homes of the less fortunate.

War Games is a bit long, but really good too. One of the best, if not the best regeneration stories.Royal_Foxx wrote:Just finished the second DVD of The War Games, Dr. Who - Patrick Troughton. I wanted to finish it tonight, but I think I need to go to sleep. I can finish it tomorrow.

So who was Doctor after Patrick Troughton? Sorry to sound so ignorant about the Doctor, I started watching with Tom Baker and know almost nothing about earlier versions. I kind of want to learn, but there are so many videos at the library I'm getting confused.

One of my all-time favorites is 'The Time Warrior', Third Doc and the introduction of Sarah Jane Smith. Awesome episode. 8)

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
I was just at the Manhattan Library. There were so many Dr. Who DVD's I was just piling them all up, then I realized I couldn't get them all .... so I got:
William Hartnell: An Unearthly Child (#1)
WH: The Daleks (#2)
The Edge of Destruction (#3)
Patrick Troughton: The Mind Robber (#45)
The Seeds of Death (#48)
Jon Pertwee: Spearhead from Space (#51)
The Three Doctors (#65)
You could say I have Time Lord OCD right now.
And thanks for the information on the Doctors. I'm most familiar with Tom Baker, then kind of lost interest when Peter Davison was The Doctor, then started watching again with David Tennant.

I was actually done with it after the second DVD, the third was an 'extra' with interviews with cast and crew and Dr. Who nerds.RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:War Games is a bit long, but really good too.
