16 Years Ago Today
In what is a loaded question if I've ever seen one, the Star Trek.com facebook page notes today, "Star Trek Voyager's 'Threshold' premiered 16years ago today. What were you thinking when you first watched the episode?"
"All this has happened before --"
"But it doesn't have to happen again. Not if we make up our minds to change. Take a different path. Right here, right now."

I saw that. I didn't reply, because there's no point in posting that much negativity.

I think when they were naming that episode, they were trying to determine the average human's Threshold for stupidity and pain...

Personally, it is at least watchable compared to Spocks Brain and Space Hippies.

Re: 16 Years Ago Today
Well, it was along the lines of this :
"Hmm, okay...."
"That's kinda silly...."
"Um, what?"
"What the hell?"
"Wow, this sucks."
"Holy crap this is baaaaaad."
"Um, what the FUCK?"
After that it was just a kind of speechless shock.

Confusion, if I remember right. Made little to no sense to me. Still doesn't.

I kinda liked Spock's Brain because it was so funny to watch Leonard Nimoy walking around like a robot with that thing on his head. That and the phrase,"Brain, brain, what is brain!?"McAvoy wrote:Personally, it is at least watchable compared to Spocks Brain and Space Hippies.

"Threshold." Well, for good or ill there is probably a niche market for newt porn. Newt porn afficionados, however, would probably be offended by the brutal mind-rape of science that VOY perpetrated in that ep.

Spock's Brain... the teaser was wonderful and full of suspense. After that is was... yay, sixties. But those first few minutes? Cool.
Threshold... no.
Threshold... no.

I laughed, I cried...
Honestly, I don't remember sitting down and watching it. Perhaps my mind built a wall around that memory? SFDebris gave me a reminder of how bad it was, and now I need new brain mortar to rebuild the wall...

I have no recolection of this episode. I suppose that I am lucky in that. i just read a little in the wiki about the episode and simply thought, "They can't all be jems!"

Re: 16 Years Ago Today
If it wasn't a Doctor and or 7/9 ep, I didn't really care about watching it.
