Yeah... still burns me a bit, but I try not to, since the burning and itching... anyway. Yeah, probably no costume. So she'll be Sarah Jane Smith, quintessential Who girl and I'll be... Jon Ellis.

There's plenty worse things to be.

Years ago when I flew out for my nephew's funeral I couldn't get the bereavement discount because he wasn't 'immediate family'.

Well, that's... also ridiculous. And my admittedly late but sincere condolences.

*Sigh* Last day of January is tomorrow. I feel... like I haven't accomplished much this month.

 It appears that the Beast of Cyberspace has devoured one of my networks. When I first tried to get online this morning, I kept getting a "not connected to the internet" message... then when I tried to join the network manually, my default network was gone.

After resolving some technical difficulties, we have our TV and internet back, and in better form. The transition to Verizon FiOS (Fiber Optic System) wasn't without a hitch, which turned out to be a product of a mixup with the programming we received from the central station. Finally (after three hours of troubleshooting) the FiOS tech did resolve all the problems, and the new service is online and looks quite a bit better than the previous Time Warner Cable service we had, not to mention half the price.

Cyber-karma, I guess.
The problem wasn't with my ISP, as evidenced by the fact that I'm online right now. The network I was using just disappeared. Like I said, devoured by the Cyber-Beast... of course, it was marked with the number 0b1010011010. ;)

I was setting up for the unloading of tonight's truck and got whacked in the head. We have carts with built-in shelves, and one of them wasn't latched properly. Smack to the side. Hurt like hell, too.
