Today is a LOOOOOOOG day. 9 hours at work, then hit the gas station, then hit the used bookstore, then get a haircut, then across the island for a subcommittee meeting and fold pamphlets.

Ugh...I won't even get home till about ten.

Well, a friend of a friend passed away. I didn't know him, but from what my friend says he's a great guy. I just wish I could cheer her up more.

Yeah I had a family friend die recently from a brain anerism(spl?). Great guy. He was a close friend to my Dad who I know will miss him.

Mine isn't broken, it's just that the museum keeps calling to get it back. Well, wifey happened to "find" a brandy-new MacBook Air - still in the box - distributed by one of her grant programs. I expect we'll have it at home soon.

I'm exausted. Took me forever to fall asleep last night, and then I couldn't stay asleep. I don't know what the deal is, but I made a batch of coffee so strong I'm gonna have to go shave my tongue after my second cup, and my eyes are still drooping.

My laptop is slowly falling apart. First it was the CD drive which stopped reading discs and then crashes the computer. Then it's the battery that won't charge to 100%. It goes anywhere between 72% to 98%. The computer seems to be slowing down now. All in all it's just a matter of parts and resetting my computer.

When I have the money that is. I need to buy a 1 terabyte external to strip my laptop before resetting my computer. Unless anyone knows a better way

Didn't really have the time. We were only there for 3 days which wasn't quite long enough. We did manage to see The Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the observation deck of the Empire State building, Time Square, Wall Street, Trump Tower, St Patrick's Cathedral, a Broadway Show (Rock of Ages) and USS Intrepid. We tried to get to the 9/11 memorial but it was still advanced tickets only so, no luck. We looked around the area around and went to the visitors centre.

That's quite a lot of area to cover in three days. Unfortunately, one must needs limit exploration in those sort of time constraints. Shame, though, that you couldn't stop in at the Museum of Natural History, considering that you were at Central Park.
