A job is a job, Reliant. We all start somewhere. Congrats.

Most joyously of all, you survived a trip to Camden....Mikey wrote:
Also, yesterday was our trip to the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ. The kids were able to touch stingrays, cownose rays, bamboo sharks, smooth dogfish, sea stars, a sea cucumber, prawns, moon jellies, and a giant isopod. There was a walk-through glass tunnel through a tank with silky sharks, nurse sharks, shark rays (aka bowmouth guitarfish,) black-tipped sharks, and some sand sharks, and there was even a giant pacific octopus. My daughter also surveyed the seals and proceeded to lecture me about sexual dimorphism in pinnipeds. The family of Eagles fans nearby got scared and hurried away.

The waterfront area isn't bad. Bear in mind, I came from Frankli9n and I've spent a night in both Penn Stations.

Waterfront isn't bad but go in any direction you are in the official number one most dangerous city in the US.

Glad for the recovery, but sorry to hear about the loss. Wish you didn't have to make a "trade" at all.

Eh, such is life. At least she didn't suffer much, her body went out pretty quickly.

Well, there's that at least.
And wow, but it's been a while since I've worn sneakers.

So England have picked their new ODI Captain for the match against Ireland next week. Eoin Morgan. Someone at the ECB has got a sense of humour.

No more than two in a row so it shouldn't be that bad. Plus they're pretty huge ships so there's always stuff to do.Teaos wrote:Sounds like asweet cruise Ian, sounds like a few sea days though.

So far we've only booked for the Statue of Liberty. Beyond that we've no idea. We did look at trying a night flight over the city in a helicopter, but they don't do them any more.Mikey wrote:BTW, Ian - what parts/attractions of NYC are you planning to visit? Three days is little enough time in the Big Apple that you'll have to pick and choose your destinations.Teaos wrote:Sounds like asweet cruise Ian, sounds like a few sea days though.

If you're going to be in upper midtown at all (60's - 80's) I recommend the American Museum of Natural History. It's phenomenal.

Not gonna much get into this, but... I just love it when the darker side of my family comes to light and shame fills me.

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
My wife just found out that her great-great-grandfather - a Leni Lenape headman - was hanged for horse-thieving. When my dad's father was drafted by Austria-Hungary during WWI, his wealthy and influential cousing made some calls and presto - drafted into an office... first lieutenant, I believe. Well, eventually some questions were asked, and my grand-dad beat for the U.S. of A.RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:Not gonna much get into this, but...
