In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

I haven't spoken to Big or CJ about this but I am going to dip out of Beta. I haven't got enough time, or patience, to keep running this game and it requires a lot more of my personal attention than i find the wars one does. It's only going to get worse as I shall hopefully be getting a job soon.

Sorry guys, and it's been fun. Thank-you.

Lol...........let the Tholians and Romulans absorb the Klingon space. That'll give the game a whole new dynamic :P

:happydevil: The romulans and klingons could always have a brief little war and we can acquire their territory that way!

Well, now you're just talking sense and we'll have none of that here!

Part of me kind of likes the idea of the Klingons collapsing into a massive civil war.

Nah, I'd be a horrible Klingon. I'd never be able to manage them, let alone handle growth and expansion.

That's exactly how I'd see the empire going down. The empire has traditionally only been held together by having a strong authoritarian figure such as the Emperor in the ancient past and a strong chancellor in the receny years. As much as Gowron was a conniving little git, he had power AND presence which kept his people in check. Martok was the same, if less manipulative and cunning. Azetbur only survived in chancellorship due to her entire race being incensed into fury.

If there is no figure head to hold the great houses together, what is to stop the empire simply shattering into small principalities?

That'll be a bitch to manage, unless the GM just declared the Empire shattered and a non participant NPC. Otherwise we'll have like a score of wars going on :)

That's the logistical problem, that the Empire after I've increased it's size, could very well splinter into 5-10 separate mini-empires and STILL be the size of pre-expansion Gorn territory.
