It's a trek site, just stick to that for poll ideas and you should be finealexmann wrote:Sorry, I just thought that it would be quite a good Battle. Re: Poll ideas
Is it a poll idea. If so it needs to expand to more options. Also, you need to visit the search on the main site and check that we haven't already done that poll, I think we have. As for disusing who would win the battle just start a thread in the section you think it fits best in. Don't just clutter up this thread.alexmann wrote:Who do you think would win? Re: Poll ideas
I'd like to pitch another poll idea.
How about a series of polls about the different sets/ship interiors. I know there were some polls concerning the exterior look and/or functionality of Starfleet ships, but I can't remember questions about various interior locations.
The questions could be something like...
Which bridge design do you like most/find most believable/whatever?
Enterprise NX-01
Enterprise 1701
Enterprise 1701-A
Enterprise 1701-D
Enterprise 1701-E
Defiant
Voyager
Logical sequals could be other locations (engineering, sickbay, crew quarters...) and/or worst-of polls.
What do you think?

Re: Poll ideas
I like that. It could further be expanded from an initial one about the hero ships to compare those with the interior designs of other races, etc.

You could expand upon it abit too. Like Movie bridges for the E-Nil to E-A, Grissom and the two Excelsior bridges.
Or you could do the the ugliest Fed/Klingon/Romulan/ etc ships. Or the best looking.

Re: Poll ideas
What's the point of the poll if some douchebag(s) can ruin the vote over night? Yesterday I voted on the O'Brian poll; most votes were for Outsanding and Generally Good and there were almost none for the other options. Today more than half the votes are for average. It's always been fun voting on the DITL polls, but now it all kinda seems utterly pointless.
Perhaps the proper wording for the poll results should be: "We asked [...] and some guy decided [...]"

Re: Poll ideas
...I highly doubt that it was a conspiratorial attempt to sabotage the vote. Maybe people genuinely thought he was average? Regardless of reasons, a poll is a poll to get the majority's idea of his performance, even if we disagree.
Re: Poll ideas
And I'm highly convinced that with multiple votes allowed there are at least a few people out there which would enjoy changing the results so that they match their own views. There's no "conspiratorial" talk here, because there's no conspiracy involved. Don't try to make it sound like i'm unhappy because the votes aren't matching my own or any some such thing. I just doubt that over the course of the night 80 people decided that O'Brian was average and practically none voted for the other options when yesterday things were shaping up quite differently. This wasn't some minor change in votes. If I saw a change like this in a real election i'd suspect it was rigged. Here I'm just suspecting trolls and idiots. But, hey, it's not my site and not my poll
