All beautiful stops (so long as you stay in the right parts of the Domincan Republic... and of Miami, for that matter.)

Got to work today just in time to turn around and be sent home. I came in late, and then an hour or so later we were told that due to the water-main issue, the building was being closed. How's that for timing?
"All this has happened before --"
"But it doesn't have to happen again. Not if we make up our minds to change. Take a different path. Right here, right now."

Off on holiday for two weeks tomorrow, thus no move for the site. I didn't want to mess things up and then disappear for two weeks.

Well, the Easter order is in from the butcher. I am now the proud owner of an 8-lb. fresh ham, a 12-lb. smoked ham, 3 lbs. of fresh kolbas, 1 lb. of Ukrainian kolbas (garlicky and hand-stuffed and hand-tied in a natural casing,) 3 lbs. of "fine" kolbas (narrow, finely ground, and smoked,) 2 lbs. of regular smoked kolbas, and 2 lbs. of wieselna kolbas (double-smoked.) Oh, plus the 7-lb. turkey breast.
I think we have enough for the family on Sunday.

We're having about 15 - 18 folks. Yes, I know - we're one plate of yucca con cebolla short of a pig roast, but that's Easter in my wife's fam. In fact, one year my mom-in-law just gave up and roasted a pig.
Oh, and that's not including the kolbas for my son's Easter basket. And yes, he does prefer cured meats to candy.

Too much candy/sugar can give me a bad migraine, so I think your son's got a bit of a good idea there.

Well, he just turned two so isn't too keen on sweets yet. OTOH, if you could make sausage out of bacon it would be his ideal food.

That's a well rounded son. Fond of meats and incapable of circumnavigating inanimate objects.

Nothing, so long as the meat holds out.shran wrote:And what becomes of the in-laws?Mikey wrote:Well, the Easter order is in from the butcher.
