Yeah, I've been going through their entire article library finding anything I could, it ended up being very interesting.

Spent yesterday evening (after, of course, administering a couple of baths, reading some stories, and singing Scarlet Begonias three times to a cranky two-year-old) enjoying a couple scotch-and-sodas and watching Ridley Scott's Robin Hood. The whiskey was infinitely more enjoyable than the movie. I think Scott is just mailing it in anymore.

Hah, haha. :P Precisely, which is why I'm having trouble. Well, sorta. The next scene in my Doctor Who fic has the Brigadier in it. The actor who played the Brig passed away recently and I get a bit... melancholy writing his scenes. Silly, I know.

Oh, lord. It sucks you in like a black hole on caffeine, doesn't it. ;)
As you read more and more information, you will find that most of it is already known to you and will in the end let you spend less time there. It takes a while though, there are about 72000 pages.

I never really thought about what a great gastronomic time of year this is. Fresh soda bread in the house, corned beef and cabbage on Thursday, the church's pyrohy sale is at the end of the week, and orders are being placed at the Polish butcher for three different types of kovbas and two or three types of ham. I've already told my in-laws to not bother with candy or gifts for my son's Easter basket - he'd be happier with a basket full of different sausages and cured meats.

Well, I'm taking volunteer training to go into jails, prisons, and work release programs to work with addicts. Then I've got to get cleared to go into the Federal system, including the Ford Island Brig.

I'm the only knucklehead I know who willingly goes TOO jail. :poke:

Fucking HM Revenue and Customs have managed to screw up dad's tax band. We've been telling them for a year repeatedly that they haven't been charging him on the higher tax band at 40% and they havent taken any notice, so now they have decided to hit the return all in one lump as WELL as hit us with some form of extra charge around company car taxation, a company car we haven't actually had for a year but they are charging us for. So we have to pay back around £7,000 which means our monthly income is done some £300-£400. We can only just put food on the table for that.

Unfortunately, the only thing thats kept dad going in this shit hole of a job has been that he was paid well enough to compensate for the stress. Yeah, that gone. He's taking it bad. Very bad.

Leave it to the government to punish an individual for the government's own screw-up. IDK about how HM Revenue works, but over here there are occasional amnesty programs; failing that, the IRS will usually arrange for some sort of repayment plan (or so I'm told.)
