Ah I see...
Almost makes me wish that I was sill alive. Though I can honestly say, I don't know what I would do in this situation.

There's a lot of what ifs really. What if the other nations hadn't supplied you? What if the Coalition had just invaded Sheliak space to hunt you down rather then letting you live there in exile? What if I hadn't eaten all that chicken for dinner...?

Please see the rules thread for clarification on how the transport rules work for troops. I had written this down a while ago and forgot to post it all up in one place. Adjust any pending orders accordingly.

I tried to build some transports a few turns ago; any clarification on how that can be done properly?

Transports have no build time. You pay for them you have them. This is a concession to playability on some level. The only thing holding you back is resources.
To build transports do the following.
Pick a Speed- If you want warp 9.5 transports this would be 50. Put that in cell 76. I would make them as fast as your fleet, but its up to you. Cell B76
Set Annual Construction- This is in capacity of troops you wish to carry. So if you want to move 1 million troops you put 1,000,000 here. Cell B83
Play with the per ship capacity- The higher this is the cheaper the transports will be as you have to build fewer of them. They only issue being that losing one or two mega transports would be crippling to your effort while losing a handful of medium ones would not. Cell B77
You will see the cost bounce around as you play with the speed and capacity of each one. Play with it until you get a cost, speed, capacity combination you like then they will be built. All future transports will follow that pattern until you let me know you want to upgrade them. I will tell you what that would cost based on your new specs.
You get transports the second you build them essentially.

Okay, I think I've got it. Thanks.
Transports aren't needed per se, right? You can just send troops via your fleet?

Correct, you can take them with the fleet, but it's advised against....since you'll be tying that fleet down to supply and defend those troops
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

That's assuming those hypothetical troops will be coming back.

Yeah, the up side to troops is that they die and there for cost less to supply over time.

Re: Alpha Star Trek Sim discussion
Not much of a reach for me. Its cheaper for me to buy and deploy troops then leave them rather then constantly trying to supply them behind enemy lines.
