Re: Alpha SIM IC Thread
Proof we mean you no harm? Nothing we can say will mollify your concerns and anything we did would be empty platitudes and we all know it. Proof of the threat of the Great Enemy? If you know of them then you know the threat they pose, or do you imagine that those ravenous monsters will just forget about you? The proof we have his three centuries of worlds stripped bare, of staying in one place only long enough to replenish our supplies before fleeing again. Three centuries of watching our numbers dwindle when we are not quick enough or when some of us had to sacrifice ourselves to draw them off.
You know as well as we do that records could be faked, witnesses coached. We have dealt honestly so far even if you do not care for the substance. Ultimately you will decide to trust us or you will not.

I no longer believe we are talking of a race we know about.
We know your ships are fast, fast enough that fleeing from the Hur'q should be no problem. That means the only possibility would be the Borg. But your description does not match them either.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

The speed of our ships is why we can tell you they will be here in your lifetimes, not next year. Perhaps your ships can travel for decades without resupply but ours cannot. Most of our ships were never meant for anything more than short trips between our worlds. They require maintenance, resupply, and that takes time. Time not spent at high warp.

Do you have any hard tactical data? In addition to verifying your story this would also help to prepare us for this threat, meeting both of our goals. I would like to believe you, but I must admit right now I am not convinced.

The Directorate is in need of material resources to facilitate starbase construction. Those willing to sell such materials to the Directorate should contact us immediately.
And use the comms this time.

The ISA announces it is closing its boarders to any transportation bound for former FKI territory. In light of these uncertain times, we cannot allow military grade supplies to be transported to an apparently hostile power.
"All this has happened before --"
"But it doesn't have to happen again. Not if we make up our minds to change. Take a different path. Right here, right now."

Hostile to who? They've shown no issue with the Imperium.

Hmm, apparently we were delusional when we thought the ISA sent cloaked warships into our space. It must have been the other way around.

If all was such a delusion then you must share whatever drink brought it on! That would truly be a great drink for our celebration of the God-Emperor! A million souls, a thousand songs and a single drink!

*Communication from the Oath Master, Imperial High Council*
The Imperium is now under attack by the amassed Taiidan fleet. As of now we are engaging our mutual defense treaty with the Breen Confederacy. Before all great battles warriors must speak of their time. With this coming battle, we sing our last song for our time has ended.
"We will not hold long, but we will be worthy of song! Our anger towards our neighbors, blinding us to joint favors. Now our end has arrived to those who hoped to thrive. May your futures shine as you watch our decline. For your love or hate, remember our fate."
The warriors of Kahless bid you all glory. May you fill the void from our absence with Honor.

The Coalition stands united. Our ships will make best speed to assist.

Considering that the insults flowed from your ISA, maybe you should tuck your pride for a change!

The Taiidan Directorate offers the Romulan Empire our assistance in throwing off the chains of their oppressors.
