Re: Forum Commendations
Thanks Ian. Really has been a good deal of fun. Lots of tolerant players put up with what has been an evolving beta test that continues to change month to month so it has been good all around.IanKennedy wrote:It's that time of the year again and we now have some New Years honours for the forum members. First, we have and award of 'The Daystrom Award' for BigJKU316 for his work in creating the ST SIM. This sim has now been running for over a year now which is great news. Our second award this year is a joint award for BigJKU316 and Lt. Staplic for their efforts in refining and perfecting, as well as managing the SIM games. For this they both earn the 'Cochrane Medal of Excellence'.
Congratulations to all our award winners today, keep up the good work.

That post was necessary to maintain the context of the thread. The Mods and Admins have seen it and will give it due consideration.

Re: Forum Commendations
For his many and varied contributions to the forum, with a post count higher than any other member on top of being a hard working moderator, Mikey has been awarded the "Grand Poobah of the Forum" award.
Nah, he's really been awarded The Daystrom Award.

Thanks all. I fully deserve this award, and I want to thank myself.

Today we're granting "The Daystrom Award" to Alexbright99 for his ongoing work on his "Fallen Heroes" story. We have also granted him his own sub-forum within the Writer's forum for this work.

Congratulations! Great work and commitment.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

I'm a little embarrassed to say this...
I had the Daystrom Award for over 11 years, and I just now noticed.
