If you were completely unaware of our existence than I would suggest reading a newspaper. They can be quite informative. Or did you just assume that the Ferengi ceased to exist and the Pakled's fled because of the will of whatever gods you believed in? As for our existence, you knew someone was here as cloaked infiltrators were sent. A task significantly more difficult than a subspace message broadcast in the open.

Mr. Ambassador, we have tried to ask, we have tried to communicate.

The Ninth Fleet attempted to communicate when they detected your approach with warships to another sovereign power. You destroyed them without answer. The Federation proper has opened communication lines stretching into former FKI space, where you presently reside, with no answer. We attempted to determine if there even was anyone in that space, and when we did we left. Further hailing attempts went ignored, and so we tried to make physical contact with you. We the races of the Alpha Quadrant sent in ships to open a direct line of communication. You refused to listen and opened fire.

You didn't just attack, you destroyed a sovereign state, and refused to answer any kind of communication. You didn't expect us to simply turn around and ignore you did you. But since you now are willing to talk, we would like to know what gave you the right to attack and destroy the FKI's sovereignty, to displace billions from their home world, to enslave the Ferangi, and to commit genocide against the Kazon.

Ms., biologically speaking. Your Ninth Fleet was not within Federation space. They were operating within the space of an enemy of the Directorate and were treated as such. I suggest that in the future you keep your ships in your own space if their fate concerns you. As for your attempts at communication, do you typically attempt to initiate diplomatic negotiations with random border guards? It seems a somewhat haphazard method of doing things. Our captains are not authorized to speak for the Directorate and do not. They executed their orders and did not allow another violation of our territory.

You, the collective races of the Alpha quadrant, did not attempt to initiate peaceful communication. You attempted to infiltrate our space with cloaked warships. Unless of course that does pass for a peaceful attempt at communication in this region of space. Your attempts to color espionage as communication are taxing our patience.

What has happened concerns us to only a minor degree right now. If you are interested in it then please discuss your rational for ignoring the official lines of communication we offered.

What we do want to know is why the KFI was your enemy. What did they do to become your enemy.

Your inability to comprehend why your attempts at "communication" have failed is not our concern.

Why the FKI was our enemy is a Taiidan concern. Suffice it to say that the issue has been satisfactorily resolved.

Which race went extinct?

The Kazon, a race that while not noted for its intelligence had been tempered by the Ferengi.

By all our ability to detect you have exterminated the Kazon Species from our side of the Galaxy, you have mutilated and enslaved the Ferangi, and you have displaced billions from their homes. You have committed acts of war against the Federation. I do not accept your statement, that they have done to you is of our concern.

Really, those were the last of their kind? No great surprise. They were given the same opportunity to leave as the Pakleds were given but refused. They were of no use and were eliminated. Given that the Pakleds were intelligent enough to leave and the Kazon were not our decision should not be difficult to comprehend.

As for the Federation bluster, I suggest you focus on the present. The FKI surrendered to the Taiidan Directorate and is no more. If you wish to weep and gnash teeth over its corpse I suggest you do it privately or at least in front of someone who cares.

What ever your grievances were I'm sure they could have been taken care of diplomatically, rather than with the use of military force. The fact that you chose simply to commit genocide against a race because they fought for their homes, that you invade and conquer whole states before even disclosing your pretense seems crude and barbaric.

What do you want now? It seems clear you only do that which suits you, and so comming here and speaking out must have served some kind of purpose. What is it? What do you want?

I sincerely doubt the Ferengi would have surrendered their nation to us if we had asked. Even if they had, our solution required less than a month and didn't even cost us a single ship. The Migrant Fleet has precious little time to waste negotiating with coin counting blunts unable to think beyond next month's balance sheet.

The Kazon witnessed the destruction of their nation first hand. They saw how easily their pitiful defenses were swept away. They saw our numbers. They knew their situation. We even went out of our way to allow them to leave. They chose to stay and resist. They suffered the consequences of their stupidity. You may be in the habit of coddling your imbeciles but we are not. We do only what suits us as does any sovereign power. If you find our methods crude or barbaric that is your concern, not ours.

The Great Enemy comes for us all, you will be made ready either willingly or through force. The choice is yours.

The Great Enemy, Children of the Darkness, Destoryers of Idan. They are a plague upon the galaxy, wandering where ever it pleases them. They conqueor and consume, stripping worlds of all life, all resources, leaving them worthless husks before moving onto the next. They flensed our nation to the bone destroying dozens of worlds, extinguishing billions of lives until those of us left fled in what we could. The military arm of the Migrant Fleet that swept aside the Ferengi in less than a month is but a fraction of what we once had, of what they destroyed with all the contemptuous ease we did the Ferengi. This is the first cluster of developed nations that has the resources to oppose them, to stop them, that we have found in three hundred years. If it can be harnessed they can be undone. The Migrant Fleet will wander no more.

Petty merchants squabbling over profit margins would have only impeded the effort. This opportunity cannot be wasted. Time is already short.

It would seem war is coming! The blood gods are indeed pleased these days. This enemy sounds much like the Hurg. They once tried to do the same to the Imperium in the past. We drove them from our world and founded the Empire of old! Let them come again and we will destroy them yet again!

I believe I may know of whom you speak. They are trapped at the far end of the Galaxy they will not come by here any time soon.

Is that the crime of the KFI, that they were merchants, that you needed their worlds. I don't know what your society is like but here merchants do have a place, and a role, an important one. By crushing them you very easily could have destroyed the very center of power you seek. By destroying them you very possibly could have struck a blow that would have hindered our ability to be this great opposition you seek.

If it is worlds you sought, then again I wish you would have talked first. We have worlds. with notice we could have made an arrangement that would have provided you with worlds of your own, without having to take them from others.
