The "view new posts", "view your posts" and "view recent posts" buttons and the search box have all disappeared for me.

Ian disabled them because of speed issues on the board.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

OK, the search is back online. I've found a way of speeding it up by a factor of 14 times. Well see how that works. I'm still not happy with the speed of the site but...

One area that seems to me to be especially slow is the PM section. Not sure if it really is slow... just feels like it.
No trees were killed in transmission of this message. However, some electrons were mildly inconvenienced.
