My grandma and I share 700 phone minutes a month. My uncle has been harassing me nonstop over the last couple of months to call this company or that agency, etc to get a bunch of things done (regarding mom's death, my move, etc.). Now, our bill is $390 because I went waaay over the allotted minutes, and my grandma is super pissed at me about it.

This whole situation I'm in is getting very irritating very quickly.

What, block him from calling me? As satisfying as that might be, I can't. I have certain obligations I have to fulfill to earn this house.

I tried explaining to grandma that I'm doing exactly what I've been asked to do, but she's too pissed at the amount right now to listen. Not that I blame her; $300 fee for going 1,000 minutes over? Bullsh*t.

I ordered the magic jack as soon as I got off of the phone with her.

Contact your service provider and find out what your cost would be for unlimited minutes.

My grandma doesn't want to change the plan, and I can't really afford a cell phone on top of all of my other expenses at the moment. :bangwall:

Well then she's going to have to just suck up the cost. If you don't fix the problem then you just have to live with it.

If your uncle can call you to tell you who to call, then he can make some of those calls himself.

Tsuki, there are some plans out there that are really inexpensive with unlimited stuff.

I pay $50 a month for unlimited talk (anywhere in the US), text, data, pic & vid messaging, and roaming. Then I pay an extra $3 a month for unlimited 411 (information) calls.

It's SOOOOOO worth it

Theres also pay as you go plans for $20 unlimited continental US talk and text (maybe the other odd bits, but I don;t bother checking those).

I'm watching Happy New Year Charlie Brown, I love Charlie Brown shows. And the Comics too, I have followed them since I could read, and this is the first time I've watched one of the Charlie Brown movies in years. It reminds me of my childhood so much, I love this feeling.

Soon begins the new years party and I am...apprehensive. I'm never comfortable with people that aren't really friends of mine in the house. The neighbours are fairly good friends with my folks but I find myself uncomfortable around them.

It's going to be a long night.

First Night program at the local beach town for us - face painter, games, carousel ride, pizza, penguin show, and fireworks. Followed, of course, by cocktails for Mom and Dad when the kids go to bed.
