Hi people,
I need to create a macro/subprogram that will make an excel workbook open on its own (at around 6:00 in the morning), update and then save/close automatically.
Since it's a work outside of Microsoft Excel, I am a little clueless as to how to program this. I suspect it's not that hard (probably just need the right tool and then select the right path toward the excel file), but I got no idea where to start.
Can somebody give me some pointer? It'd be appreciated.

Well, within Windows theres a way to set up an automatic startup, just need to know all the information like the location of the file you want to start, when and when you want it to shut down, it's called Task Scheduler, it's in the administrative tools located in the Control Panel. It's a fairly simple user interface to use.

Task Scheduler, eh? Thanks a lot!
So simple, yet, I don't understand why no google search helped me out with this.
Again, my bests of thanks.

Because as much as google knows everything, most people don't know the right words to put in, since asking a question will almost never get you back a correct answer, so you have to sort of know what the answer is before you can ask it.
