What's the latest in people's lives?
Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
Two bulging disks, arthritis, and degeneration of the spinal column ( the bones...not the spinal nerves themselves )
Thank you kindly for your sympathy, good sir

I hope you can find a solution to pain problems, both of you
Winter is now getting difficult to deal with. Temperatures are fast on the drop, and I've started popping up in chill blanes now just from re-entering a warmed room.

Chillblains in November? Is that due to the Raynaud's?

Apparently so. Last year when the snow came, so much as touching it proved excruciation painful, and we're forecast snow fairly soon. Not confident.
It was supposed to get better with age, the doctor guessed that since I shot up really quickly in younger years, my capillary infrastructure hadn't developed in relation to my height. Apparently not. I'm now one of the shorter guys around at 5ft 7", which is a fair bit lower than most in my years and I haven't changed in a year or so now. And it appears to be getting worse and not better.

Me too. Can't remember if is L4 or L5 (Had an MRI scan). Being mid-30's+ sucks man! So does not standing/sitting properly/not being sufficiently active enough and sitting on your arse all day < Yeah I know it's my own fault!Mikey wrote:Yeesh. Mark, Mikey, Hary, sorry to hear about your back problems. Only thing I've got is moderate scoliosis.

After smashing up my spine back in March, I now unfortunately know a lot about back pain.

To everyone, I hope you have a great weekend. To my USA friends, happy Thanksgiving.

I shaved for real the first time today.

Mine's the L5
And you, my friend have just cut right to the chase of the whole damned problem. I'm IN my thirties. I sit at a desk all day, then come home and flop on my bed either watching TV, playing Xbox, or chatting with you all. Aside from going to my meetings and sitting there, that's it.
Bottom line, I need exercise. I'm 5'11 and weigh 212 lbs. I'm supposed to weigh 185. I carry the extra weight on my belly, which puts added stress (so much PSI per extra pound). The problem lies in the fact that ANY exercise I do (ie walking, running, bike riding, VEEERY light weight training, swimming, and so forth) causes intense pain afterwards, and with my back like that, I can't follow up, thus I can no benefit via repetition. I am doing the BARE minimum right now, and literally walking laps in my swimming pool, which the only thing I get from that is waterlogging.
@Reliant.....why don't you look into attending an out of country school? Hell, the University of Hawaii during the winter is a bit chilly I grant you. Goes down to 78 in the winter at night.
