The original question also reminds me of a woody allen quote:
Reporter: "Mr. Allen, what do you want people to say about you in 100 years?"
Woody: "Doesn't he look good for a man his age."

I want to be remembered... and that's about it. I have a feeling if I died tomorrow, very few people would care.

Is it sad to think that the people on here may be some of your closest friends? I mean like if you died tomorrow Striker, I would probably remember you, mostly for the ST/SW crossovers you do. But regardless, I would definitely not forget you for a good long while, I would however wonder where you went, as we would have no way of knowing.

Well, I did say 'few', Nick. Not 'no one'. So yes, some people in RL would care. Just not that many. More empty chairs than full at my funeral, I'm betting. And thanks. Glad someone appreciates them. ;)

I'll have a packed house at my funeral - I'm planning on having an open bar.

That is so full of win, and my funeral better be happy, I don't want people to be sad, I want them to celebrate what I did for people.

When I visited New Orleans I had the opportunity to march along with a funeral parade. Actually, it wasn't so much an "opportunity to join" so much as we happened to be on the street and some folks told us to "come on along, now." I always thought it was an odd custom rooted in a weird mix of Catholicism and voudun, but it was actually a great and joyful way to celebrate the life of the guest of honor.

I want my funeral to be a taco party.

My friend she would plan it and all the food would be stuff I couldn't eat when I was alive. :P

Besides that, I want to be remembered as tall, thin and extremely beautiful.

I'd like to pull a "Paul Smecker" at my funeral and be in attendance secretly, as opposed to being actually dead

Would it be wrong for me to want my funeral song to be sung the last two women to see me alive? Ya know, the college twins that killed me with.........er.......kindness?
They say that in the Army,
the women are mighty fine.
They look like Phyllis Diller,
and walk like Frankenstein.

I'm considering my father-in-law's post-funeral philosophy, which is to be buried as far from his wife as possible. As he says, "I only said 'until death...'"

You know I've thought about this before, randomly ( I do that a lot), I really think we should all write our username and password into our will and have the lawyer that reads it log on and inform everyone.......start some kind of thread for it in Forum Community (in a few decades) and fill it with stuff like "XXXXXX has left the game".
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

thinking about it, it could also be a way to be remembered.....write out a post, your final reflections on life, civilization, humanity, etc and have them posted and shared across the Internet.....or in Deep's case a final 'fuck you' to all the mods. lol
