Re: BETA SIM OOC THREAD
and the sheets are away. News momentarily. I will post a new map, but I haven't gotten the chance to make it yet, so bear with me.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Jacorn yes, Hyllus kinda sorta, but not really.
Hyllus is LightHawk's race, and he actually origionally created them for the DITL Univrse that we created way back when.
The Jacorn are roughly humanoid. They have six limbs, two sets of arms, and one set of legs. they have much more spherical heads than we do with a wave pattern of ridges extending from their brow to the top of the back of their neck.

Re: BETA SIM OOC THREAD
The Hyllus are a small people, averaging between 80cm and 100cm in height, and weighing between 20kg to 30kg. They have thin, pale skin commonly found in tones of red, blue or green, and very little hair, virtually none on their bodies, only a stripe which runs from forehead over the scalp and to the base of the neck, and which is universally black in color. Their eyes are almond shaped, with thin, four pointed pupils. On average, they live between 150 to 200 years.Reliant121 wrote:Any idea what the Jacorn and Hyllus look like?
Descendants of burrowing mammals, the Hyllus possess short, sturdy legs and long, powerful arms. A spar of heavy bone grows from the back of their hands, curved and hallowed, it forms an effective digging tool when the hand is curled into a fist, and is sharp enough to function as a natural weapon. They possess other external bone growths as well, notably on the elbows and knees, and most prominently in a heavy line down the back, which is separate from and protects their spinal column.
Hyllus eyes are tuned to perceive radio waves instead of "visible" light, and they possess an organ within their chest which can emit low level radio signals, giving them a natural radar sense, which allows them to navigate easily through their lightless underground dwellings. They also use this organ and their eyes as their primary means of communication, using various wavelengths and patterns to comprise their language. Hyllus eyes can be overwhelmed and confused by the equipment of many species, which often emit various types of electromagnetic radiation that go unnoticed by most other races. Such radio "noise" can leave a Hyllus both blind and "deaf".
The Hyllus possess four ears, two on either side of the head, which are elongated, one of each pair pointed upwards and the other down. The different pairs are capable of hearing separate ranges of audio waves, with one set detecting high frequency sounds, such as the soft rustle of a predator stalking through the tunnels, and the other low frequency sounds, such as the tunneling of a surface predator. There is actually a gap between the ranges of the two sets, which does fall within some of the commonly used vocal frequencies of other races.
Thanks. Now I just have to make sense of this spreadsheet and go over the rules in detail. Kind of an involved game going on here.Reliant121 wrote:Lighthawk joining the party huh? welcome to the fun boyo!

I'll try to work up some sympathy for you. I have some spare emotion available on Saturday, will that work?Tyyr wrote:You're on the other side of the damned galaxy, I don't give a s**t. Now I've got Breen trying to nuke me.
More seriously, do I need to get all this spreadsheet stuff figured out and done before I can join in, or can I go ahead with an opening address to the various powers?

I could take a stab at it, unless there's another Newbie out there who wants a part?Lt. Staplic wrote:Also, I should let everyone Know....Nick is no longer playing the Romulans. Anything for them can be directed toward me.
