Going to look at houses today. I pray to Seuss that I find something good.

Well boys and girls, I think it happened again. I think I may just be in love again. I'm down to one girlfried again, and I'm quite happy with that. But now she's got a friend who's really sick with the big "C", and is going back to New York for who knows how long. Ain't life grand?
BTW, I offered to go with her for a bit and on the off chance I go, I expect some DITL members to show me the town

From collegehumor: Ringo would like to sing more!
"All this has happened before --"
"But it doesn't have to happen again. Not if we make up our minds to change. Take a different path. Right here, right now."

More than happy to, where in the state? If NYC, I think I'd be fine with meeting up.Mark wrote:Well boys and girls, I think it happened again. I think I may just be in love again. Good day, good day. We managed to sell the dormant Hyundai, got £1000 less than we wanted but its still £5600 odd meaning we've got the ability to pay off a biiig chunk of debt. Glad of that!
Also very proud of my mother. It's the first time in nearly 7 years she's gone near a dual carriage way, let alone a trip down a 4-lane(either side) motorway. She did great, no panicking (she's petrified of them), bad moments. And considering the last car she went on the motorway with was a borrowed Audi 80 with the worlds most ridiculous engine in a car of its size, going down to what you yankees would call a lawnmower, She was fantastic. Only thing she was guilty of was speeding (much to father's amusement).

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
Yesterday I found myself once again deciding that my teen self was an idiot. I long ago concluded that it is safe to generalize all teens as idiots to one degree or another, and try not to hold it against them. However I do wonder what the hell was wrong with me back then.
The specific instance took place at a block party back in my parent's neighborhood. Got to see a lot of people I grew up with, around, or at least near. The two that threw me off guard however where the twins that lived literally across the street from me growing up. Now granted it has been just shy of a decade since I last saw them, but I sure as hell don't recall them being so damn hot. You'd think I would have paid more attention to two tall, blonde, athletic twins living within spitting distance of me during my mid to late teens. I can't imagine what was occupying my thoughts during those years so thoroughly as to over look those two.
Now granted, long term it was for the best. The conditions that lead me to my wife where unlikely as can be, the chain of events leading to us meeting could have gone off in an entirely different direction at a dozen different points for reasons of minimal importance, and I do love my wife with all that I am. So I can't actually say I wish I had been smarter in regards to those two, but all the same, what the hell younger me?

I've shaved off my beard. For the first time in six years I'm clean shaved with high and tight.

Odd. So did I.Deepcrush wrote:I've shaved off my beard.
My mom's memorial was today; it was just a gathering of people in a room to the side of my uncle's church. Not bad, overall.

Yeah, that's pretty stupid even for a teenager.Lighthawk wrote:Yesterday I found myself once again deciding that my teen self was an idiot. I know, right? Seriously looking back over some of the choices I made back then, I really can't fathom how that me and the current me could actually be the same person. Either there was something in the water, or I was under some kind of alien mind control.Tyyr wrote:Yeah, that's pretty stupid even for a teenager.Lighthawk wrote:Yesterday I found myself once again deciding that my teen self was an idiot.
