And if they do fight to the last man on each and every damn world I'll wind up drafting and getting tens of millions of my troops killed and at the end we'll wind up with jack shit to show for it. The planet is almost completely useless without a docile population on it. I've got a good dozen worlds I can colonize that will give me the same benefit without the cost of training twenty million troops then getting most of them killed eradicating a population determined to fight to the last man.

Oh, I didn't have 220m troops, that just how many I lost. I think by the end I had about 600m but I can't remember for sure.

+ From what I can remember, 20 million wont be nearly enough. To match the army I have you're looking at from 50-70m. And a madman population can be just as dangerous.

True.....but not the entire population are combatants. Your get those who can't fight, those who can but are cowards, those who would but have no weapons or training, and FINALLY the civillian equivilent of a militia.

I seriously doubt a mother is going to put weapons in the hands of her hungry children, just so they can die as commanded rather than accept Cardassian rule. Governments only wish they had that kind of control over a populace.

alright people.....we're doing a 3-month turn this time, and a 9 month turn next time. There are going to be some major changes forth-comming, the largest of which is two player swaps:

Codan will be taking the Jacorn Alliance Over from me.

Reliant will be taking the Klingon Empire over from Codan

the Breen will be a mix PC/NPC race for now.
