Well, either they occupy you or they leave. Thats about it, none of the other options really matter.
If they occupy then they claim your space and resources but also have to fight your population. If they leave they run the risk of you coming back again later and stronger but don't have to suffer the losses of a ground war.

Depends on what they try and do with the leaving. I would assume they would stipulate blah blah blah maximum ships of various sizes and they would simply cross the border and "cull" every time it gets a bit too big.

Culling is tough with the UFP there. The CU would look to much like a bully if they waited to do anything. They have to act now or just not bother with it.

Yes Reliant, in fact I think I can trace the source of all of this down to two events that weren't only not in your favor, but a major hindrance to you. The first is the Entrance by the Federation against you. After that there really isn't much....he sent in enough firepower to get the job done.......several times. The other was really a single die roll. the damage you suffered after the initial engagement at 89 is what killed your fleet. You suffered something around 80% losses due to various factors about fleet positioning, etc, but that was definitely on the high end of what you could have lost. If that wasn't so bad, there's a chance you win that battle, and while The Battle of Breen was the epic battle that sealed your fate, the outcome of the war was really decided at 89. A Victory there would have given you momentum. In the End I think you still loose if for no other reason than the Federation was there, but it would have been a much longer, and closer campaign.

Also:
Sheets are due on Tuesday. I will roll them ahead 3 Months, so all shipbuilding needs to be set. you will receive three months worth of ships, and they will sent out to you.
BIG, Tyyr I will need to know your plans for Breen space when you turn in your spreadsheets.
Depending on what goes on we'll either go 3,3,6 or 3,9.

Rebuilding would be such a bitch for a variety of reasons. Without shipyards and orbital facilities its hard to put ships into service and without the ships its almost impossible to defend the infrastructure to build the ships in the first place.

In other words, he's effectively out of the game.

Not necessarily...Tsukiyumi wrote:In other words, he's effectively out of the game.
The UFP is not going to occupy them or sanction massive orbital bombardments if they refuse to accept surrender. But the Breen people's outright hatred of the Cardassian people might make them useful down the road if someone wanted to re-arm them with ships. There are several powers with very large industrial bases that might find it useful at some point.

Re: BETA SIM OOC THREAD
The only way I could really get around it would be to buy or hire a huge amount of ships just while I can get my shipyards up, then spam build as many of the most powerful things into service.
One more year and I'd have a drastic improvement.
Dammit. In all honesty, I'd rather Tyyr just occupies and gets it over with. I have no desire to rule over a power thats shackled by the cloaked Cardassian fleet thats waiting just around the moon.

I'm not really wild about trying to occupy 20+ worlds that are going to be sore loser about it.

Once I get orders I'll decide exactly what is going to happen, but at this point it looks like the Breen will probably just become an NPC, if they survive at all.

Re: BETA SIM OOC THREAD
yes
basically (since the Breen refused to surrender again) I need to know what you plan to do with the population/planets.

Re: BETA SIM OOC THREAD
Just so everyone is aware, I will roll for the decision of the clan leaders (planets) individually; however chances are slim they will accept.
