Alright, since I like you guys I stayed up late tonight to finish the Battle, and write up the news......if anything looks funny or doesn't make sense in the news/sitreps, it's probably because my fingers kept moving while I dozed off....

anyway, turns are due on Tuesday, and I'll only roll them forward 3 months (i.e. only ships)

Tyyr, Reliant, I'll get in contact with you about getting your stuff it, it will be before everyone else, but I'll save that for tomorrow.

We love you too.

I'm at school at the moment, and I'll be starting a major assessment in an hours time so I wont be able to respond. I am in the process of enacting reaction to the Cardassian defences.

Perhaps. But I'd rather take a long shot at vanquishing a long term foe and risk losing everything. -shrugs-

Yeah, just decided to throw that rant in there. It was just a thought that I had and irritated me, so I threw it out there.

I was NOT expecting Reliant to be an invading force, lol.

And I see Big is playing the Federation as well as Staplic does in Alpha. How's the weather up there on that high horse, boss?

Seriously, they both are playing overly imperialistic. Which is different and kind of fun too, lol

It fits perfectly into what we see on the shows.

They're insidious.

Thats the whole point. This is sorta semi-RP. The Federation have always been the galaxy's fucking self-prophecied policemen and big's playing them as such. Breen have always been aggressive, and a little bit treacherous and I'm playing them such.

There is a gulf of difference between Imperialistic and Idealistic.

It is a bit of a stretch for the Romulans to claim the Federation is telling them what to do simply because they decline to allow your ships passage through their space. From most viewpoints that is the status quo of most territorial relationships. Just look at Earth for a good example. Even when it comes to just flying over a powers airspace in civilian planes you need their permission to do so and there are plenty of powers that have denied that sort of thing through history.

There is a difference between nice and stupid. Seeing as I can't find any cannon evidence that Romulan trade ships were ever allowed to just barge through Federation space I don't see where I am out of line saying no to that request.

As for the CU thing I figure the people would be pretty sensative to the Breen launching a sneak attack and then threatening to burn Cardassia.

And yes, I love it up on the high moral horse. Its exactly the kind of pretentious ass statements the Federation would make. Otherwise they would be just like everyone else. Were I playing this as an Imperialist I would simply wait for the CU and Breen to grind one another down then take over both :happydevil: .
