I don't, specifically, but if two more people post, then I will - and we will see that the final part of my rescue plan is to bring Blackstar in myself. Even if I can't convince you of the necessity of the rescue, Rochey, I don't think you are prepared to open fire on ME (I hope - gulp!); at least not aboard the Daystrom, in plain view of lots of witnesses.

However, unless you object strenuously, I plan to write a post convincing you of why I should bring hir back - using arguments which are calculated to work with your character's personality. Whether or not the Dream gets "blowed up real good" is between you, Blackstar, and possibly Monroe.

Well, given that you have the Captain's go ahead, I'm not going to try and stop you from bringing Blackstar back. In fact, he may even like the idea of dragging Blackstar back to the Daystrom for a court-martial.

A) Even if it did notice the shuttles were arrayed to fire at it (something which is doubtful, as they'd probably be powered down until the Dream lands) there'd be no way of telling exactly where they're being controlled from.
B) You're planning on transporting the warp core away!?!
Although your points are good, and much simplier then, disabling the traps and risking damage to the shuttlebay. Let's go with that.
Given that the Dream is currently being run by a computer program, it should easily be able to asses the likely outcomes of whatever decision it makes. Faced with the fact that firing on the Daystrom would lead to it's destruction and to the scrapping of any rescue plan the crew may have had in place, Sally would probably see that it is in it's best intrests to look unthreatening and to try to get Mikey or Talora to do something.

Well, you said the controls were compleatly independent of the Daystrom. They'd have to have their own power or else you could just have the computer stop sending the controls power. Or if it is hooked up and you can't hack the computer, just transport a section of the right power conduit. Transporting a warp core is hard enough, but while it's running and filled with antimatter? Even I ain't that crazy.

I didn't see your question until after I posted. Mikey said he would need two more posts, I figured mine would both help show what I'm doing and get an extra post in there for Mikey.

True, but there's still the problem of locating the computer or it's power source at all. Given that there'll be forcefields active around the ship, they may even prevent the Dream's transporters affecting the system.

I think I'll be able to have the leverage I need to keep Sally compliant.

I'm not big on blowing it up, myself. It'd be useful in the spin-off RPG we're starting up.
As long as Sally is a good little computer, and co-operates with us then it'll get off the ship in one piece. After all, we have no use for it on the ship.

Well, it is currently in Sally's best interests to co-operate since she can't rescue Blackstar on her own.

And once I've got you, you had better be able to count on her cooperation...

Who's? Sally's? She's pretty loyal to me. Unless you mean Rochey, but I'm not sure how that would be important unless he was part of the away mission.

No, I meant you had better be able to count on Sally cooperating with me. But I intend to write it that way.
