Season 4-5
Re: Season 4-5
Its good, as long as you aren't expecting the films. Much like the Highlander TV series, a deviation from the films but good in its own right.

I thought Babylone 5 : The Beginning was just plain awesome. Londo's narration was great, and the President speech at the end made my bodyhair shudder.kostmayer wrote:Its good, as long as you aren't expecting the films. I believe kost was referring to The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
But yeah, B5 was awesome; I think we can mostly agree on that.

I'd be shocked to find any sci-fi fan who would think anything other then positive thoughts for B5.

Re: Season 4-5
I think for me it shows how a low budget show can excel based on almost all plot work. The SFX weren't that impressive, they paid a fortune to do it completely digitally and it wasn't really greatest standards. But the plot lines were excellent. Series 1 was a little dull but it got the ball rolling and it just went up and up.
Re: Season 4-5
Babylon 5 does one of the best multi season story arcs ever. Its great when you rewatch it and catch the odd detail that would later on become highly significant.
Also, none of the races / or characters are inherently good or evil, and none of them end the show the same way they start it.

One of the best shows, sci-fi or otherwise.

Re: Season 4-5
At the time, JMS vehemently claimed that he only swapped about four of the season 5 episodes into season 4. Basically the plan was to have more of the Byron and the telepaths stuff in Season 4 and delay the Earth/Clark finale until season 5.

I'm wholly disappointed in the Sheridan/Lockley connection.
They say that in the Army,
the women are mighty fine.
They look like Phyllis Diller,
and walk like Frankenstein.

It was part of the reason he picked her, that and she fought for Clark. Though to be honest I'm all up for just pissing on anyone who served Clark after he started bombing civilian targets.
