That whole Clinton is going to lose in NH just because she came in a close third in Ohio was just crap. NH is a freaky state that has never been very predictiable. Edwards was the biggest man for Ohio and still only came in a distant second. Clinton was the weakest one going into Ohio and yet still pulled well. Then people looked and said if you do bad in one state that you have to lose everything else. The critics were looking for a reason to bash Clinton and now they look like a batch of old fools.

didn't know that ''batch'' was the collective term for fools, thought it was ''a pod of'', ''mob of'' or ''government''

I've just had a quick glance at wikipedia (I know it's unreliable, but for dealing with day to day curiosity, or random searching when you are bored, it's great) and it's not a question with a simple answer, is it?
A phrase I keep coming across, both there, and in the answers here, (thanks, BTW) is Democratic/Republican Registered Voters. Is this a looser affiliation than party membership, or just a synonym for membership? I notice on a lot of US films and TV programs that deal with elections, campaigns are staffed by people who seem to volunteer on a short term basis, often literally off the street, organized by a cadre of professionals. Are the parties relatively small organizations who call out a "militia" of sympathetic citizens for the election campaigning?

Someone can be (and many are) registered Democrats or Republicans without actually going out and working on a campaign, etc. However, you do need to be registered as a party member to vote in a primary.
PS Jordanis - I could have sworn that I read that Wisconsin was losing half its RNC delegation, but you've proven me to be a dumba** before, so...

Well, it's ONE of those vaguely-mitten-shaped great lakes states...Mikey wrote:Someone can be (and many are) registered Democrats or Republicans without actually going out and working on a campaign, etc. However, you do need to be registered as a party member to vote in a primary.

Now what would happen if they showed that Obama actually won and that they were tampered with. Wouldn't that be a twist?
I heard about this rumor but apparently it has more weight than I thought.Kucinich alluded to online reports alleging disparities around the state between hand-counted ballots, which tended to favor Sen. Barack Obama, and machine-counted ones that tended to favor Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton. He also noted the difference between pre-election polls, which indicated Obama would win, and Clinton's triumph by a 39 percent to 37 percent margin.

Well, it's official; we have hit a new low in political discourse...
McCain "Swift Boated."
Sound familiar?

Not only that, but they more often than not either don't have the facts, or intentionally ignore them.
I'm not voting GOP no matter who gets the nod, but to belittle the suffering of a POW as McCain was is just base.

The saddest part is not that politicians would try this kind of stuff, but that it usually works...
Sheesh.
Sheesh.
