Also, if possible the Gorn would like to dispatch a representative to this Khitomer Cross-Cultural Conference called by the Sheliak.
"All this has happened before --"
"But it doesn't have to happen again. Not if we make up our minds to change. Take a different path. Right here, right now."

The Romulan Empire would like to send an historian to the conference. While he has no diplomatic status, he is an expert on our history, and one of the more unbiased historians on Romulus.

*In a joint statement signed by both the Klingon High Council and the Romulan Senate. The former occupation zone to which the Klingon Empire gained in its last war with the Romulan Empire has been declared "Space of Free Transit". As such, inspection stations have been set up in every system and along both borders in an operation to insure the safety and security of the region. Every inspection will be carried out by a team with both Klingon and Romulan advisors, requiring that both pass inspection or transit will be denied. This very well could signal the start of a new peace between the Empires. Something that has been missing in their history for nearly two hundred years.

This statement comes with a shocking amount of support from the Klingon High Council. Seemly the Federation's withdraw from the Khitomer Accords has caused most of the Federation's supporters within the Empire to fall silent. While few Klingon Houses are at best on cold terms with the Romulan Empire. The occupation of so many Romulan civilians has changed the hearts of many Klingons stationed in the zone to govern them. Klingons within the zone are having their first exposer to Romulans that aren't a part of the military to which they've so long hated.*

*Speaking for the Romulan Senate, the Praetor considers this the first step in removing the view of the Klingon Empire as enemies. This feud started over a dishonorable act, and should be corrected by an honorable one.
This is not about the past, but about the future.*

The Ferengi-Kazon Imperium and the Tueri Assembly would like to announce that 4 years from this time (2408) we will be jointly hosting the 1st Galactic Technology & Trade Exposition on Ferenginar where we hope to exhibit our technological advances of not only our cutlures but others as well.

Planning is in its preliminary stages but the following events are already set.

International Ship Sellers Expo- This event will run through the duration of the event and will give those who wish to sell ships to other governments a venue in which to demonstrate their wares for interested buyers. Demonstrations will include speed trials, live weapons demonstrations and tours. All powers are invited to send whatever ships they wish to this event provided they register the ship and type beforehand with FKI and Tueri Assembly officials.

GTTE Cup- The two governments will be hosting a series of contest for any who wish to participate. Each power may enter one ship into the overall competition and one additional ship into each contest.

Speed- The fastest ship to complete the 230 LY course in and around FKI space will be the winner.

Weaponry- The ship that engages and destroys the most targets in a given timespan will be the winner.

Agility- The ship that navigates the sublight course the quickest will be declared the winner.

International Technological Expo- A station side exhbit for all manner of technologies the various powers wish to demonstrate or sell to others from personal weapons to medical technology to commuincations devices. The Assembly Trade commission has provisioned for any power to submit their technology, starships or even diplomatic presence.

We will be presenting the as yet undelivered, but in RnD stage medium cruiser which will be offered for wide export. We are currently undecided whether this prototype will be at the event. We will also offer tours of some of our older ships to detail our design philosophies that will be present on all future export ships. Additionally, we will be presenting our Modular MGW series of internal warp drive systems for xeno purchase.

The FKI will be demonstrating the following.

Exchequer Class Destroyer- A state of the art destroyer avaliable for export sales. Nearly 500 have already been sold and it will be avaliable for immediate sale at the time of the show.

Midas Class Light Battlecruiser- A heavily armed cruiser that gives one all the firepower of a battlecruiser with the maintenence cost of a cruiser. The tradeoff is that it only has the combat endurance of a cruiser but it is ideal for the smaller power fighting a defensive war, the defense of trade routes or as a middle weight cruiser for powers lacking such a ship. Due to high demand none of these ships are avaliable for sale at the time of the show, the first seven years of production are spoken for, but it will be avaliable after that time period.

Profit Class Battlecruiser- A full-fledged battlecruiser avaliable for export sales. Already well known in the region and avaliable for immediate sale.

The Finance Ministry will be avaliable to arrange credit terms for any deal to purcahse FKI goods or goods of other powers if necessary. Additionally the government of the FKI wishes to announce that it will post a prize of 500,000 credits for the winner of best overall ship in the GTTE Cup as well as 250,000 credits to each category winner.

We have arranged for a mock up Bridge of the brand new Ra'Naat class medium cruiser (We have received clearance to release more detailed information). This bridge will show our standard command layout, the SCC (Starship command centre) on a raised platform followed behind by the larger CnC centre.

Ra'naat class Cruiser - A state of the art "fast" cruiser capable of sustaining warp 9.9 with no penalty, featuring advanced CnC systems inherent to all Turei ships and an efficient internal drive system. This is coupled with a heavy armament and comprehensive defensive abilities, all at a relatively low price.

My friends, it is with great pleasure that we, the Cardassian Union, have completed work on Anti-Assimilation Borg nanoprobes. This medical breakthrough represents a significant defense against the Borg Collective. With these nanoprobes, Officer, Crews, Troops, and Civilians can be rendered immune to the current Borg assimilation technology.

We are willing to make this technology available to all major galactic powers for a modest fee, to offset the time we spent developing this technology.

Please forward inquiries via private subspace channel.

Forgive us for your suspicion, but how was the counter developed. Surely there must have been a substantial supply of Borg technology for you to experiment upon, and from what we can gather the Union has had few encounters with the Collective.

When the wormhole to the Delta Quadrant was discovered, a small group of Borg wished to use it to get passage around and to the BQ side of Borg space. The Borg are engaged in a war with the Hur'q. As a form of fee for passage they were forced to turn over nanoprobe technology which was shared between all the signors of the Anti-Borg Treaty.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Ah, the Hurq. Would someone care to explain whom they are? we have heard of them vaguely but have no data.

And, my apologies to the Cardassian ambassador. I simply wished clarification.

The Hurq are an ancient enemy of the Klingon Empire. They are a race of wondering slavers and locusts that feed off of worlds then leave them in utter ruins, striped of their natural resources. They once roamed through the the Beta Quadrant, even made a home on the Klingon Homeworld. If they seek to return, it will be a hard fought battle to repel them.

Then clearly it is a battle that the Empire and its allies are duely suited for! As are many of the powers of the alpha quadrant. How great a threat to the alpha/beta quadrant are they at the present time? are there effective measures in place to deal with any assault by them?
