Re: Star Trek Sim discussion
On exploration...
Faster more capable ships do have a bonus in that they cover more territory...or more correctly I should say that slower ships have a penalty.
If you are using ships that go less than warp 9.6 (about the sim average for new construction) they count as half a ship when I do the calculations.
Anything above that counts as one whole ship.
If you have larger, more capable long range ships you big finds are likely to be more big. If you have a bunch of short ranged destroyers doing the job it will still be big but won't be far from home and likely won't be exotic in nature.
So in short it does matter, I just did not formalize the rules on how that would work as I sort of decided to do it when I saw some powers just dumping old slow warships into the task. The other side benefit of having capable ships doing it with high speeds and lots of sensors is that they make excellent scouts during wartime once you recall your exploratory fleets.

Hey BIG, can I do espionage on myself (ie, on the Tal'Shiar) to make dealing with them easier?

Well, its always good to know what your other half is doing. I guess this means the Empire is getting a divorce.Sonic Glitch wrote:NOW you're thinking like a Romulan...stitch626 wrote:Hey BIG, can I do espionage on myself (ie, on the Tal'Shiar) to make dealing with them easier?

Have Federation, Cardassian, Romulan, Shelliak turns.
Have Klingon sheet, need orders for ship movements and any changes that need to be done.
Need sheets and everything else for the Breen and Gorn.
If you could by tonight that would be great.

Will do.

Be aware, me and Nick won't be available during the day from Friday to Sunday. So we might not even have a chance to log on.
Eh, who am I kidding, this is one a addiction I'll never lose.

Re: Star Trek Sim discussion
Is that for this coming weekend? I think we handled most of the stuff we needed to handle for you for next turn. You can deal with most of it tomorrow when turns go back out then we can figure out your next turn before you leave if that is ok.

Sounds good.

Re: Star Trek Sim discussion
Sheets are done, except for the Cardassians which should happen tonight. Exploration is done as well. I will write reports up the rest of the way tonight. You will probably get everything late. Sorry for the trouble.
