Well it looks like this is a no-win situation for me. However I am like Captain Kirk in that I don't belive in a no-win situation. You have all forgotten one very important thing. My ship has an AI and a full load of weapons on hand. Something tells me that I would make sure that she was monitering the situation before shi went on a wild goose chase. Even if ensign redshirts 1&2 were to start taking the baby to the officials, the ship(which I should really name) would make quite a scene while recovering her (the cub)

Well, I am using non-lethal methods myself.Mikey wrote:To be fair, though, I would attempt to use non-lethal methods with any of my crewmates inasmuch as they are possible.
Commander "Capt. Bligh" Rochey
Oh, I'm more than willing for consideration. But there wasn't really any other way of resolving this while staying in character. Neither Blackstar nor the Commander were going to back down. So getting rid of Blackstar and solving the problem while shi's gone was the best possible action.I would expect some form of consideration if I am forced to come in on your side in any sort of intra-crew dispute
Of course, the Commander probably thinks that Blackstar is just going to accept shi's beaten, while shi's not. He also underestimates just how close Reliant's character has gotten with hir in such a short space of time.
I've got a feeling he's going to be introduced to reality in a very painful fashion...
Unless Blackstar does back down, that is. The only way shi's getting the baby back without directly confronting me is if shi takes down the two Expendable Extras while they're dropping the kid off at the base, then smuggles the child back. Though given they've got one hell of a head start on hir and shi's going in the oposite direction on a wild goose chase, that could be difficult to pull off. If Reliant does resist and ends up getting stunned, shi'll only learn of it when shi gets back. Or shi might figure it out when shi realisese there is no hidden base, and that shi's been tricked.
Hmm, in that case it seems like Tweedledum and Tweedledee are royaly screwed. Though seeing a shuttle shooting up the surrounding landscape and wasting two of my crewmen would be just a tad hard to miss.Blackstar wrote:Even if ensign redshirts 1&2 were to start taking the baby to the officials, the ship(which I should really name) would make quite a scene while recovering her (the cub)
Anyway, I was going to let Reliant write the next bit of the attempted kidnapping of the baby, so he/she can decide what Talora is going to do. The outcome of it is inevitable, the only difference is whether she calls you and warns you of what's going on, or gets herself stunned.

You know, Reliant, when I suggested contacting Blackstar I meant with the use of a comunicator. Or something other than than firing your gun up into the air like a firework.
Well, the ensigns are probably on their way to get rid of the kid, and I might be out of earshot of the weapon firing, so maybe no one noticed.
For a Romulan, you don't exactly take the subtle route, do you?

Im sorry if it was hard to understand. Basically Minnsky got the tholian to think he was the Starfleet people romored to be on the base and not Xene, while making the officers in the cell safe in there disguise.
This means that the Daystrom crew is safe. It also means the slavers wont be thinking he is Xene.
Why didn't they kill Minnsky? Because he is looking for Xene, they wish to follow him.
This also makes it possible to complete minnskys plan to its fullest and be away from the crazy ass Breen.
Should i be concerned that the only person trying to save the 5 freighters is a Ex-Starfleet Engineer with a chip on his shoulder? lol

I think i found a solution for the baby while looking through the crew roster:
Ensign Grr'lek (OC)
race: Caitian
age: 26
- tall, slim, brown-furred; prior experience as an operations supervisor on a starbase; by nature somewhat aloof and reserved, sometimes seems to be almost lax, but this is due to the extreme precision and economy he excercises in words and in actions. Currently beta-shift bridge ops.

I can't see this ending positively for Blackstar. Worse case she kills Fedies or gets killed by Fedies or injured. Medium case, she loses her career and is confined to the brig. Best case she can't go on any missions again because she'd have to haul the baby around. Either way seems like a character ender :-/
