Well see, Oxygen was tired of being in a monogamous relationship with Hydrogen, and so picked up a mistress on the side, and that's when things got very wet.Sonic Glitch wrote:Wait.. what? When did this happen?!?Mikey wrote:I'm almost as surprised as I would be if you told me that water is wet.

The XCV-330 Enterprise by Mark Rademaker
There is not a problem in this world that can't be solved without the proper application of a sufficient number of thermonuclear ordnance.

That's just plain awesome. Why the hell didn't they use something like that for Enterprise?
Oh, right. Greedy idiots.

Actually, that's one bit of ENT that makes a little sense. I think it would have lost some impact if they used a Vulcan ship.Tsukiyumi wrote:That's just plain awesome. Why the hell didn't they use something like that for Enterprise?

Re: Starship Pics
That isn't a Vulcan ship - it's simply one of the ones from TMP. Vulcan ships weren't depicted with ring nacelles until Enterprise, and the statement on the main site that that Enterprise is a transferred Vulcan ship is simply Graham's speculation based on that.Mikey wrote:Actually, that's one bit of ENT that makes a little sense. Re: Starship Pics
I wasn't aware what GK had said; I assumed it was Vulcan-built because of the structure. Ships of that design are generally canonically Vulcan, even if that canon is from ENT.

Re: Starship Pics
True, but if that design had been used to depict the NX-01 the Vulcan ships would probably have been depicted somewhat differently, to avoid the comparison.Mikey wrote:I assumed it was Vulcan-built because of the structure. Re: Starship Pics
If they DID use that model, they likely would have done something else stupid, like make that ring a "warp ring" ala the Jedi starfighters "hyperdrive ring".
Damn fine pic, by the way.

Re: Starship Pics
Not quite. As you can see, the windows are about man-sized. The ships size would have severely limitated the amount of story that could be told, because it aso necessitates a small crew. Ergo, less extras to kill. Also, the same shape was used in a concept version of the TOS Enterprise.Tsukiyumi wrote:That's just plain awesome.
