Auto sales is an insidious, soul-sucking way to spend your life. It breaks you down, batters your soul, and drains your life only to replace it with a simmering vile mix of ennui and subsurface bitterness - all the while getting its filthy talons into you so that despite your best intentions, you remain. I can think of no other business in which the people who voluntary come to you for help also automatically come with the idea that you are trying to cheat them and rank on the evil scale somewhere between Stalin and Satan. No matter how honest you are, your customers will always believe you are lying and cheating - and accuse you of doing so - while lying ourtageously themselves, and them blaming you for working off the misinformation which they provided.

Don't forget the soul-crushing disappointment of all the times when you do everything right, but still lose a deal because these "people" lied to you about their credit or buying power, or even just about their intentions. You can make the deal - but if it can't get financed, you don't get paid.

*EDIT* There is a reason that, in the first couple of months after I was laid off, I turned down four job offers in auto sales.

my school accelerates the brightest to do them early.

It went well. lord of the flies questions were a bit naff, but the anthology questions were fine!

I on the other hand have probably failed, I sucked at the poetry and didn't do much better on the novel section either ( we did 'Of mice and men').

When first looked at the question my brain fell out, and I may just shoot my anthology with a high powered rifle.

In other slightly related news, Tomorrow I have a chemistry GCSE exam, which I'm feeling extremely confident about. 8)
