I have to do this little workshop with another student as well.

It gets worse. We have to teach Yr 2 (third year of Elementary I THINK!) "A Midsummer Night's Dream" By Shakespeare. Of all of the plays, that must be the hardest to teach to small kids. I really need some time to work on the script, as i'm script writing.

It's not as hard as teaching a tragedy to them I guess... However, I can see it as hard seeing all the innuendoes in that play especially.

a) You are "required" to do this, but must make your own way to the assignment? Unless you're getting paid, that's a lot of stones on the part of whoever tasked you with this.

b) 3rd grade Stateside means ages 8-9. Those kids should be capable of a read-through, just passably, but the subtext, allegory, and idiomatic conventions will be quite beyond them through no fault of their own. Whose idea was it to teach Shakespeare to 8-year-olds?

As for me, well its a part of my diploma course.

My performance module is to help Brune Park community college's cluster schools (All the 7-11 schools that will give Brune park its students when they hit secondary school) produce a Shakespeare piece for a Shakespeare Festival. Brune Park is a performing art's college, so its the right forte. Each group of 4 people in my class has been given one of the 5 feeders (Elson Infant (which are the hardest, they are 4-7 year olds...I get these guys), and 4 others). So yes, it is obligatory. But we get no assistance in travelling there, as Brune Park is too impoverished to afford Transport.

Not impractical, I can do it. It's just getting over the Dual Carriageway thats gonna be hard.

Well, I'm sitting at work with a voice thats barely here, a fever, and feeling like hell. I've got seven hours left of my shift, and trying to decide if I'm sick enough to go home and lose the time (I'm out of sick/vacation time).
