The Cardassian Union is, unfortunately, split as to whether or not they are willing to agree to this proposal. Our Congress is evenly divided and the President has not yet taken a stance. I shall keep you informed.

The Ferengi would like to extend trading opportunities to all nations with any left over trading ability, we have 2.5 million left over trading slots.
Re: SIM Galaxy IC Thread
Trade between the Ferengi and the Breen has just begun. Again we will have open trade with anyone wishing to do so.
For the next two years we will also not be issuing new loans. We want to stabilize our economy before we give money out to other powers, our economic success is essential to the Galaxy's. After the 2 year period is up we will again be open to issuing loans to any needy powers.
As well what has been decided of the species from the other side of the wormhole, have they chosen a place to settle in?

We of the Confederacy are also interested in this information.

The Klingon Empire has offered one of our border worlds to the refugees.

Good to hear they are well taken care of, if any resources are ever needed to aid in their comfort the Ferengi would be more than glad to lend a hand to the refugees.

They are citizens of the Empire. Their comfort is of little concern and their care is guaranteed.

The Cardassian Union offered them a world as well. Have they indeed settled in the Empire as yet?

They are currently in a holding pattern. Our ships are watching them for the time being. Should they wish to move elsewhere, safe passage will be granted.

Re: SIM Galaxy IC Thread
I'd like to acknowledge our Ferengi neighbors for taking in the Kazon refugees. That was surprisingly....selfless of you given your reputation. I must express my concern however. As a direct neighbor to Cardassian space, these refugees have an....unsavory reputation. We've taken the precaution of stationing our 3rd fleet at the Ferengi border as a security for Cardassia.
I of course completely trust the ability of the Ferengi Defense Force to handle any problems that may arise within her borders, but my government is nervous about the possibility of having hostiles that close. Can you guarantee their good behavior?

We have taken their unsavory reputation into consideration. We will have them under constant surveillance. Any movement of their ships will be accompanied by one or two ships, both for others protection as well as the refugees. We fully understand and even recommend the force buildup on our border, we understand and respect your fear of them.

Re: SIM Galaxy IC Thread
The Breen Confederacy has a fleet in Ferengi space for security purposes. If the refugees turn out to be manipulating everyone, playing on our sympathy, we will deal with them as the Ferengi government sees fit.

Fear is not an issue my large lobed friend. It is a matter of security. I'm sure this ragtag bunch would prove no match for our Prefect class vessels ==formarly known as the Profit/Prophet class==, or our newly aquired A'Kira or Maret class vessels ==Akira and Defient class== but it could potentially put lives in danger.

That would be fear for their lives... but oh well.
And we thank the Breen confederacy as well.
