The Klingon does then choose to accept these people. Once they are through the wormhole, we will assign them a planet.

Re: SIM Galaxy IC Thread
If need be we in the Ferengi worlds have space, and we would gladly allow for them to come and live in our worlds, and we will assist them in settling down for the time needed.
We will also be dispatching 30 of the Gorn destroyers to the Wormhole to help defend it, if that is agreeable.

Re: SIM Galaxy IC Thread
After deliberations the Commander of the ABTF has decided the following:
- The Fleet is to engage the Borg away from the wormhole, at the planet they are currently assimilating.
- Any ship capable of warp 9.6 or greater are to proceed at that speed to the system
- All cloak capable ships are to enter under cloak and take up positon, this should allow the entire fleet to get in formation as the Federation, Klingon, Romulan (if we have any), and Breen (Cloaking operations on these ships are still permitted as they are 'immune' from recent going-ons) ships will be cloaked, the other ships will likely not be seen as a major threat and ignored until they open fire.
- Any ship to slow or that arrives late will remain as a last stand force should the Borg make it to the wormhole.

We have been going through some governmental changes for the past few months, and as such are behind in current affairs.
With the permission of the members involved, we would like to immediately assist the fleet by sending 100 Norexans and 200 D'Deridex Warbirds. We most likely would not be able to arrive in time, however, even a late arrival would be helpful.
The ships would arrive in two waves; the Norexans arriving first due to their speed would likely be able to engage the Borg with the main fleet (or shortly after), while the Warbirds would remain as a last stand measure. If we are too late to participate in the initial assault, all of our ships would remain as a last stand measure.

Re: SIM Galaxy IC Thread
The Federation formally requests that the Klingon Empire honor us in handling the Breen. While they have agreed to the measures the Federation and Cardassians have dictated against them, it is unclear how far they are willing to go at this time, and how far their word can be trusted. We believe a close eye should be kept on them, and we would be honored if the Klingon Empire would also keep the Confederacy under a microscope of investigation least something else go wrong.

The Klingon Empire will honor this request. The Breen, though our allies, have shamed us by their deeds. This is something that we CANNOT and WILL NOT accept. These matters risk the peace of the galaxy, a peace that many warriors from many races have died to protect. Klingons and Federation have long stood together for this peace. So we have done before, WE SHALL DO AGAIN! The Klingon Empire will temper the Breen in their actions! Either by words of wisdom, or by the steel of our blades!

The Confederacy is meeting all demands made, and will continue to do so. We welcome an investigation by our allies in the Klingon Empire; our society has been closed off for too long as it is.
As to the Borg, we again suggest that the anomaly be destroyed, if possible. We volunteer our forces to remain behind and destroy the anomaly from the DQ terminus, if necessary.

Re: SIM Galaxy IC Thread
Can we expect any help from the space faring races of the Delta Quadrant? I'm aware they are painfully unprepared for the Borg, but if they are able to slow them down, that would give us more time to mobilize.
I believe we should use the destruction of the anomoly as a "plan B" measure. 8 Tactical cubes is enough of a menace to threaten ALL of our soverign nations. Twice, a single cube of lesser class has punched through Starfleets defenses and menaced Earth directly. Starfleet was barely able to stop them at their own doorstep, with "not quite easily repeatable" tactics. Could the Gorn stop them? The Tholians? If we make a mistake here, we could lose half the quadrant.
I have spoken with our most experienced commander, Gul Market ( ), who suggests that we move as big a force as we can into the DQ, and form three lines. The main force would engage the Borg, while a second slightly smaller force would move out to harry and harass the attacking ships flanks, as well as act as a reserve unit to shore up any breach in the lines. The third line, should it prove nessessary would be responsbile for sealing the wormhole if needed.
The Cardassian Union will begin to send additional ships to the area to re-enforce the fleet.

Re: SIM Galaxy IC Thread
While I appreciate the input, a battle plan has already been formulated. At this time the fleets are already in motion to the wormhole to carry out the plan. Any ships the nearby powers wish to supply will be appreciated to stand guard outside the clok'cha system. Certain defensive measures make travel through or near the wormhole impossible at his time.

Re: SIM Galaxy IC Thread
==An Internal Public Communication from the Federation that Bleeds out across the Quadrant==
Today I am addressing some of the recent accusations thrown around by the Andorian Senator running for election this year. He has claimed that I am a pacifist interested solely in the appeasement of the Breen, and that my office has done everything but encourage further aggression by the Confederacy. What he fails to acknowledge is my administrations recent actions concerning the Breen-Klingon alliance he is so concerned about. What he calls a slap on the wrist against the Breen is much more of a deterrence that he seems to think, and the fact that we were able to set it out without war is a victory for everyone. We were able to remove the Cloaking ability of the Breen fleet significantly reducing their first strike ability. In addition we organized a Neutral Zone 3LY thick, the thickest one in existence by the nearby powers ensuring a fair warning time should any Breen ships attempt to move against us or the Cardassians again. Additionally, the Klingons, who my opponet would have you believe are plotting to invade us as we speak, have aligned themselves with us in horror and dismay of the Breen actions and will be keeping them under close scrutiny.
And while we're discussing the Klingons and the Khitomer Accords, it is no secrete my opponent wishes to annul the treaty with the Klingons. He wishes to destroy the very thing that has prevented quadrant wide war for over a hundred years. His babbling about not wanting war is just that useless babbling, for war is the only outcome to an end of the Khitomer Accords, it may not be immediate, or within my competitors term, but the ending of the Accords will drag the Federation through war after war after war. Despite their defense treaty with an enemy of the Federation, the Klingons have proven to be honorable, trustworthy allies who respect our wishes as much as we respect theirs, let us not forget the Klingons delayed and ended a war against the Gorn without a shot fired because of a Federation analyst team, of which they never saw any evidence or voiced any opinion. All of the Klingon accusations and evidence supplied have checked out with Federation scientists, something else my competitor likes to forget.
'A vote for me is not a vote for war' the Andorian says, well a vote for me is a vote for peace, and prosperity through out the quadrant.

Re: SIM Galaxy IC Thread
==Gerneral Communications both inside and outside the Federation==
A little over a month ago, the joint Anti-Borg Task Force stationed at the Clok'cha system detected eight Borg tactical cubes assimilating a world within 50 light years of the wormhole. Refugees immediately started pouring in, which the Federation decided would be allowed to transit through the wormhole, and settle where they wish. The Commander of the task force decided to initiate contact with the Borg, and ordered all ships in the task force capable of warp 9.6 or grater to move at that speed to the Borg system where they would be engaged in a daring move.
The fleet has recently returned to the Clok'cha system victorious over the Borg. The combined might of the quadrant quickly dominated the assembled Borg destroying 7 of the 8 cubes within four volleys and critically disabling the 8th. While the fleet achieved this major victory it wasn't without losses. A total of 69 ships were destroyed and a further 149 ships were damaged. I wish to offer my condolences to the families of those lost, no matter what power or species you may be.
Finally I wish to disclose the reason this 8th Cube was spared. After the volley that destroyed the last of it's allies, the 8th Cube hailed our fleet wishing to discuss surrender. The Commander decided to listen to the terms and discovered a surprising new truth. The Borg are being overrun by Species 84, better known to the people here as the Hur'q. They have begun to spread through Borg space, and have isolated the area of Borg space near the wormhole from the rest of the collective. The Commander and Cube discussed a transfer of information about the Hur'q in exchange for allowing the remaining Borg Cubes passage through the wormhole, and out to the Borg Domain in the Beta Quadrant, allowing them to circumnavigate the Hur'q threat. Precautions are being taken to prevent subterfuge by the Borg in the exchange, and the intelligence gained will be shared among all powers. Also the Federation has gained detailed scientific data on Borg medical nanoprobes, used within the drones for the sole purpose of destroying harmful bacteria and viruses. This technology too will be shared with all powers to promote peace and improve the quality of life for all.

A truely regrettable loss. We mourn our fallen brothers in arms.
Have the refugees found a home as yet? If not, the Cardassian Union would like to offer them a place of sanctuary.

The refugees have the following makeup
200 Kazon Raiders
10 Kazon Predators
3,000 assorted transports
est. 30 million refugees
They have requested asylum and transport for as many of their citizens as possible out of the DQ. If they are to be given asylum they will have to be settled on a planet and merged into someone's culture. They will take the best offer given that mixes political freedom and economic security. Please transmit your offers (ie send them to the PM) and a decision will be reached shortly.

Re: SIM Galaxy IC Thread
The Breen Confederacy wishes to announce the beginning of a new era in our culture. Beginning immediately, we will not only be removing the cloaking devices from all of our ships, we will begin dismantling all of our Frigate class ships, drastically reducing the amount of forces on the Federation and Cardassian borders. We wish to correct some of the more troubling problems in our society, and thanks to the new Neutral Zone between us and our neighbors, we feel secure enough to devote more resources to helping our citizens.
We will remain an active member in the security of the two quadrants, however, and also wish to enhance our current trade relations. We ask the Federation to lift it's trade embargo as soon as the first of our reparation payments are received, and we wish to again apologize to the Cardassian people for our recent misguided actions.
