Yeah, honestly most of them are better then the average movie aimed at an adult.
The shrek series
Monsters vs Aliens
Up
Monsters Inc
The Incredibles
Finding Nemo
WALL-E
And lets not forget a good dozen plus shorts

All good movies for any age really

I'd put The Incredibles in the running with Iron Man for best superhero movie of the last two decades.

WALL-E was just good stuff. A bit heavy handed on the message but a great movie. The wife and I watched it AFTER the kids went to bed.

I wish they'd make a sequel to the Incredibles.
They say that in the Army,
the women are mighty fine.
They look like Phyllis Diller,
and walk like Frankenstein.

Personally I hope they dont - I'd imagine they'd just fuck it up - (not wanting to get into another sequel v's original discussion) I wish studios would just leave films alone and let them be.
But I can't throw, I throw like a geek!

We're not talking about the Hollywood average, we're talking Pixar.

Its owned by Disney - the two had a "disagreement" over the sequel to Toy Story (Toy Story 3 is in production at the minute I believe) -
Disney announced that they would go ahead with sequels to Pixar's films with or without Pixar, although they stated they would prefer Pixar to agree to work on them
its from wikipedia
So sequels will get made whether Pixar like it or not.

And Toy Story 2 is just as good if not better than the original.

Not seeing the issue here.

IIRC, didn't Pixar escape the clutches of Disney a few years ago when Disney forgot to renew some paperwork?

I'm not having a go at toy story in particular just trying to point out that sequels will get made whether Pixar like it or not -

I agree fully that they have produced some good work in the past and as long as they keep to that same standard then there's hope but if Disney decide one day to go ahead with "the quest for more money - part 2" then all the good intentions and previous high standards of Pixar aren't worth much.

Maybe I'm just in a pesemistic mood (because I'm stuck inside on a nice day) but when all is said and done if Disney want to milk the situ for more cash then I think the new corporate jet for the execs will overrule the "high minded artistic ideals of some computer jocks in a subsidiary of the mighty corporation"
(meant to be said in a monty burns evil billionaire voice that last bit in quotation marks)

Doesn't look like it - there's a Disney logo on the front page of the Pixar site

Disney might want to try and milk a franchise but they'd be stupid to fuck with Pixar. Pixar is gold right now and their movies are a license to print money. If Disney does want to try and milk it they'll have to work through Pixar to do it, and Pixar should filter the greed into a good movie.
