In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Re: Star Trek Sim discussion
Ok, a minor point of order. I know everyone wants to conduct some sort of investigation on what is currently happening. There are a multitude of issues here.
1. Asking to look at Sensor Records- These things could be faked with remarkable ease and there is really no way for one to tell. I mean what are we talking about? A computer readout really. I get why you would all ask but I am not going to tell you what is true and what is not in any situation like this that might arise. Simply put these things are so simply faked and it would invovle so few people it comes down to who you trust.
2. Asking for ship manifest- Again the same issue. I suppose in theory you could test the hull of each ship for certain distinct particles and blah blah blah match it up with the travel records. But in all reality this again is not practical and I can't really arbitrate on this.
Here is the issue I get stuck in trying to manage this. I can't get in the middle of confirming records as either true or untrue. I of course have absolute knowledge of what actually happened, but in the real world you can't ask someone who would know. Kind of like the whole Poland shot first thing with Germany. Why did and do people not believe it? Well because Hitler is a liar, not because it can really be proven or disproven one way or another.
Or another example. Was the US ship the North Korean's attacked way back when in North Korean waters? Who knows. It is almost impossible to prove it one way or another and the view of who is telling the truth basically depends on who is hearing the message.
The news is the news. It will relay just about anything. Like the CNN's and NYT's of today it is going to relay claims by some governments as more unkown than others but most of what they get is fed to them, especially about powers outside of the Federation and Cardassian Union. In a situation like this it is quite likely the next story will be the Romulan government making the same claims about the Klingons. Neither will be either proveable or disprovable unless you physically put your own assets there to watch things. That is just the reality of things like this.
That being said you guys are welcome to call for all sorts of investigations. Just don't expect me to arbitrate on what is true and what is not. There is simply no way for anyone to tell. Now if you were investigating something more concrete where there were wreckage, DNA, weapons impacts ect to study then yes, you could convene a group to look at the issue and I will give you an unbiased (but not necessarily correct depending on what evidence you happen to find or be given) report on the issue given the paramaters you set up.
But in this case we are talking about records that are entierly artificial. A sensor log showing the Loch Ness Monster invading Klingon Space would look about the same as anything you would see here. There is just no way to tell.

For simple mode. Everyone just count themselves having received a copy of a report with the following break down.
*Cloaked ships having crossed the RSE/KE border.
*Romulan fleet build ups along the RSE/KE border. The largest in the history of the RSE.
*List of times through history that such actions have led up to RSE attacks on KE space.

Don't forget, your sheets along with any movements for this turn need to be in by Sunday night. I won't get to them until Monday.
Re: Star Trek Sim discussion
There is no way I will be able to get them in by sunday, take that as keep what I have except what we discussed, I have so much that I have to do today and tomorrow.

Re: Star Trek Sim discussion
I love government acronyms. If you spend time in DC you learn to laugh about it. They are VERY important to people holding jobs with huge long titles.stitch626 wrote:ADAUSDSDMOCU
