Fleming And John is an outfit out of (I think) Tennessee, which you can hear sometimes in her voice... but she's got an awesome timbre and a great range.

Plus, the music is pretty cool.

Speaking of chicks with really cool voices, New Jersey's own Eve's Plum:
I Want It All
Die Like Someone
Jesus Loves You (Not as Much as I Do)

If the singer looks familiar, she (tragically) left the band to become a lightweight bubblegum pop singer called Vitamin C.

Yeah, they hail from Nashville.

Thanks for sharing the links, good music from both bands.

I'm sure this song has been heard so many times and it's a little bit annoying but I love the sound of it

Yeah, and as much as I don't like hip-hop, I actually like them and Linkin Park, so I guess I can say that I like minimal hip-hop, but it has to be good.

They just came out with a new album today, I like it from what I've gotten to hear so far.

Yeah, except that there's almost no relationship between that (or Linkin Park) and hip-hop.

Speaking of which, for high-brow hip-hop with hella good real-live instrumental music (especially the drummer, ?uestlove,) nothing tops The Roots:

Both are labeled as hip-hop...

Just shows you how much iTunes doesn't know...
