The washing machine is fixed (sort of) and the water in my bathroom is running, turns out it was just the leaking faucet he wanted to fix and so he told me I couldn't use it.
But now, the pilot on the water heater went out so we have no hot water.

I have the flu. Spent most of yesterday puking and other... gastrointestinal problems. Feel better now, but more of a relative term.

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
This morning I figured people out.
People who get drunk have control and dislike having so much control therefore get drunk so they don't have control.
Serial killers don't have control in life, (usually they are psychotic, in one way or another) so they kill to gain control, and thus don't drink, because they don't want to lose control.
Yeah, that's my insight for the day...

I get drunk occasionally, and I don't think I have that much control. I think some people get drunk to not worry so much about how little control they have.Nickswitz wrote:People who get drunk have control and dislike having so much control therefore get drunk so they don't have control.
Careful. I think many serial killers historically have been shown to be antisocial/psychopathic - which is a personality disorder, not a psychosis. I've known a couple of people who are technically psychotic, but who are as far from serial killers or "crazy" as could be. Usually, people who kill and are diagnosed as psychotic aren't serial killers, but rather have a very strong delusional or disorganized psychosis and are fixated with a particular individual target - e.g., Hinckley, Sirhan Sirhan, Mark David Chapman, etc.Nickswitz wrote:usually they are psychotic, in one way or another

While what you said is probably true, I think Nick was more referring to alcoholics who get drunk ALL the time, not just occasional drinking. Just my insight.Mikey wrote:I get drunk occasionally, and I don't think I have that much control. In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Or they're just addicted to it. Alcohol can be as strong a drug as any other.

Yeah, that's my insight for the day...
Control is an illusion. Nobody truly has control over anything with the exception of thier own actions. The above mentioned people know this and that is one of the reasons that is true...my young padawan.

I was an alcoholic (I was also a morphine addict) and it had nothing to do with control and everything to do with trying to forgot.Mikey wrote:

I think Mikey said something about the personality disorder, I was wrong, yeah... I should have known that...

Does it count as throwing someone if one of their feet remains on the ground?
