Then that is all you will have. The Klingon Defense Force is now in blockade of the system. Trade, supplies, all have ended. This will stand until the matter is resolved or the wormhole destroyed.Lt. Staplic wrote:I have lain claim to the space around it. and I will keep it.

Re: SIM Galaxy IC Thread
The Gorn Hegemony as some may know, has entered into an agreement with the Federation to aide with guarding the Beta Terminus of the wormhole, and we do not dispute the Federations claim or right to control passage through the wormhole, but we take issue with the Federation idea that this means control of the entire system. When the Federation-Administered Bajoran station discovered the Bajoran Wormhole, tho it was a Federation crews discovery, this did not give them the right to sole control of the Bajoran System.
We suggest that the system be regarded as completely neutral, or with all three powers the Gorn, Federation and Klingon Empire having an equal say in the administration of the system with the Federation controlling the wormhole.
A Planet of Intergalactic Peace failed in the 23rd Century, perhaps, with the help of this wormhole, we can turn this startsytem into a System of Intergalactic Peace.

Re: SIM Galaxy IC Thread
The Bajoran system had a civilization in it who had already claimed sovereignty over their system. This is different...and we claim only the space around the wormhole, nothing more. We are willing to have the Gorn and Klingon forces preasent within OUR space. That is the furthest I am willing to compromise.

As a neutrel party, I'm curious....are you willing to fight, kill, and maybe die for this small section of space?

Re: SIM Galaxy IC Thread
The Breen Confederacy has no wish to echo the Romulans on this matter, but our opinions match theirs: while we have no claim to or stake in the Clock'cha wormhole, we believe it is incredibly presumptuous of the Federation to simply "lay claim" to a region of space with disputed ownership, and demand that powers with long-standing territorial claims bow down to their jurisdiction over the system.
As this is simply the latest attempt by the Federation to dictate policy outside of their borders, we are issuing the following statements and, so there is no mistake about our words, the following challenges:
1) We are joining the honorable and glorious Klingon Empire in withdrawing from the Terrados Accords.
2) We will be sending our own battlegroup to assist the Klingons in blockading the system until this matter has been resolved in a reasonable manner. The Empire and the Gorn Hegemony should not have to "negotiate" for trade rights to an anomaly in their region of space.
3) Any Federation vessel that makes an aggressive move toward either the Klingon Empire's ships or our own will be blocked, regardless of the safety of our vessels, and if any Federation vessel fires on any Gorn, Klingon or Breen ship, the act will be considered an act of war by the Breen Confederacy. We will respond accordingly, and without mercy.
4) We believe this situation is part of the larger state of affairs in recent regional politics; the Federation has issued veiled threats to force their policies on other sovereign powers, and has continued a massive, unrivaled military buildup over the last decade. We believe they are attempting to use their military as leverage to force smaller powers to conform to their will. The Breen Confederacy has tried to comply with reasonable demands, but we will not tolerate further aggression against our Klingon and Gorn friends.
We believe further discussion is warranted on this topic, and would like to resolve this matter swiftly.

Re: SIM Galaxy IC Thread
The wormhole and space in question lies in unclaimed space, neither the Gorn nor Klingons had any more right to it than I but I was there first, and made the discovery. As for acts of war, a blockade IS an act of war, and a rather ineffective one at that considering my ships can travel, quite literally, through yours.

Interesting.
We of the Confederacy would very much like you to test that claim.

So, the Federation is now a dictatorship. Interesting.
Secondly, if the Federation had violated our borders, that only reinforces our point of unwarranted aggression. The Breen Confederacy has had cloaking technology for over a decade, and have never violated Federation space.
Your words betray your aggressive attitudes.

If the wormhole is to be nothing but a wedge between the powers of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. The Klingon Empire will see the Wormhole destroyed! If there must be a war to protect the peace. Then the warriors of the Klingon Empire will pledge to that war!

The Federation took action to determine what it was up against...unless you care to deny the purchase of cloaks from the Klingons during the negotiations of the Non-Proliferation treaty (which is not the same things as the Terrados Accords) which is a gross violation of the spirit of the treaty, the purchase of disruptor technology, and the construction of newer and larger warships.Tsukiyumi wrote:So, the Federation is now a dictatorship. This is getting out of hand. Quite foolishly, you have all allowed the discovery of a wormhole to break down all semblance of reasonableness.
