Its the pack mentality. Dogs in a pack or who are part of a family will rarely attack another who is a part of that pack/family.

Well it looks like the lack of heat caused some of our pipes to freeze, so now some of our pipes are backing up. Which means they are flooding in the basement. This sucks. A lot

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
Nick, I am sorry to hear that. We only ever had 1 night of no heat, and it wasn't during the Snowstorm of the Decade so we haven't had the burst-pipe problem. In other news, it is 6:50am, my alarm is supposed to go off in 10 minutes, I have not slept for than 30-45 consecutive minutes all night and am now watching the sunrise over our basketball/assembly hall, "I am depressed." On the plus side, my philosophy paper is mostly done aside from a few touch-ups and all it took was roughly four days, some panicking and intervention/assistance from my father!
Boy today is going to suck.

Sorry to hear sonic, I've only ever had that when I was on pain meds, and then I would get an hour and a horrific dream, but I do know the feeling.
I have to work on two papers today... Both for my AP English class. Both of which are due today technically, but I wasn't holding off on them, I just had no computer to use to type...

Well, last night it was a combination of my mind nagging me about the philosophy paper and a back issue so I couldn't lie down and be comfortable. At least I got work done! What are the papers on if I may ask?Nickswitz wrote:Sorry to hear sonic, I've only ever had that when I was on pain meds, and then I would get an hour and a horrific dream, but I do know the feeling.

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
My school, since it has adopted this new system to ease timetabling has given me four choices on my GCSE option for THIS year. Dance, Food Tech, Graphics and Psychology. Safe to say I am taking psychology. I desperately wanted to do modern world history, but thats timetable at the same time as my diploma lessons so I am unable to.
on the upside, I THINK I have a clear idea of what I would like to do Post school. When I get to college, I'll go to my local St. Vincent College studying English Literature/Language, History Politics and...something else, haven't quite decided that one. And Then HOPEFULLY apply for a place at Winchester, Doing History and the Modern World. My eventual aim, is to be a history teacher or something such (:
Of course. this is subject to alteration.

Thankyou
I have also realized that I missed out history as an A level.

History teacher, eh? Nice choice, Reliant. My favorite teacher in high school was my history teacher Mister Apt.
Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
Well, I'm moved out of my place. For those of you who don't know, my in laws owned my apartment and were renting it to me for a significant discount. They didn't know my wife and I had seperated (even though she still hadn't moved in with me) when she fell in love with that other woman.
Well, "wifey" relapsed AGAIN...and fled the police when her PO tested her and she was positive. She turned herself in after a week, but my in-laws booted me as being my fault.
Moved back in with my old roomates down by the University of Hawaii. Won't have internet for about a week at the new place though.

Sounds like your out-laws have a real case of head-in-the-sand-itis... I hope it won't take severe sickness, injury, or death to make them see who's really responsible for herself...

Had a parent refer to me as a "God send" for his son. I think I got red from it... Still, its a nice thing to hear.

Especially since so many parents don't even care what goes in school anymore. It's always nice when someone appreciates what you do.

Yeah, it felt weird but I was in a room and everyone in there liked me. I never feel right at moments like those but as you said. Its nice to be appreciated.
