It was the Harvard National Model UN conference in Boston, over Valentine's Day weekend. There were schools there from all over the world; my school sent a delegation of about two dozen students. It was fun, although I didn't win any awards.

Nice. I heard about that from someone I met at the UPenn Model UN Conference Last November. How was it?

Does the Model UN work any better than the real one?

It's big and intense, but fun. I think you get out of it what you put into it: if you're pushy, aggressive and motivated, you're likely to win an award - I put in a middling performance and predictably didn't win anything. You do get to meet cool people from all over the world.

I'm working on my introductory statement: "I am honored and grateful that you have invited me to your daughter... 's wedding... on the day of your daughter's wedding. And I hope their first child be a masculine child. I pledge my ever-ending loyalty. "

Frak, frak, frak, frak! So, we were supposed to leave at 7 for our conference in Penn State, about 3hrs away. Now due to "weather" (the storm Nick et al is dealing with isn't quite so bad for us) we're delaying until tomorrow morning, after already delaying twice. We could've left yesterday at noon and have made it. But no. :bangwall:

But I'm not bitter!

Someone in a rather large Audi decided to run my foot over as he pulled out of his drive this afternoon. That. hurt.

I've had that (with a Chevy, not an Audi.) Considerable suck-ness.

Hey all. It is the start of the apocolipse, no wait, its the beginning of the ice age, no wait, it is a government conspearency, no wait its aliens! Stitch wants me to tell you (at least a being that looks like Stitch and whines like Stitch) that we have no power so we cannot post. At least those of us who don't have a cool cell phone can't post.

We had some light snow over here a few days ago too. Fucking bizzare weather, even for Ireland.

We had some tiny snow (when it was oddly sunny in half the sky), then it was wet for 4 days, now the sun is shining bright and beautiful its just fucking cold because of winds that almost knock me over.
