Yeah, no good deed goes unpunished. That's just further evidence that ENT would've been better off as a stand-alone series rather than as part of 'Trek.Tyyr wrote:Wow, I actually gave that the benefit of the doubt as a nasty fanboy rumor.

I pride myself on having a very low opinion of humanity in general but I usually give people the benefit of the doubt when it comes to rumors I hear on the internet. Maybe it's time to go full on misanthrope?

I may have to go look for that. It's a truly horrifying insight into Berman and Braga's psyche. That kind of revelation will pretty much remove any and all sympathy I might have for them.

The killer B's didn't do it maliciously. They just didn't give a shit, and count their fan base as idiots which is unbelivable when you stop and consider that a real Trekkie will sit and calculate the explosive yield of a photon torpedo. HOW did they expect us not to notice a ship that figured promantly in FC?

A ship that is also widely regarded as one of the better/best designs of the TNG period.

I call that worse. If they intentionally decided to flip the bird to all of 'Trek fandom, it would at least show they cared enough to expend some effort.Mark wrote:The killer B's didn't do it maliciously. Yeah that's... I mean you're going to work on the fifth installment in a long running franchise with a dedicated fan base and you can't even be bothered to do a little work on it? A little research?

Re: NX-01 Series Five Refit
We had a discussion in this same area over in the Stargate thread. Now THEY stuck to continuity VERY well. You could tell that somebody coordinated all the back story. The one or two errors were so minor as to be negligable and B&B CERTAINLY could have taken a lesson. Maybe thats why SG1 had ten season, Atlantis 5, sparked three or so DVD movies, and launched SGU. Trek may be the big boy on the block, but SG is certainly a contenderTyyr wrote:Yeah that's... If it weren't for the new movie, I'd have said that ST had gone the way of the dodo and Stargate was stepping up to take the role of most popular sci-fi show.
But Trek lives once again, so Stargate has a fight on its hands.
