When I was working at Bedford Hills (women's prison in Westchester County, NY), the women would accuse me of thinking I was better then them because I wasn't in prison. I told them, "No, I know I'm better then you because I never got caught."

They never had a response for that.

Yeah, I hear "women's prison" and I think the Cinemax version. Nothing but hot horny chicks without a dick in sight so...

Anyways, I'm strongly of the opinion that smart criminals aren't caught, it's the dumb ones that are.

Its not that the smart criminals don't get caught, its just that they end up working for us rather then going to prison.

In other news, had a fight this morning before First Period could start. Two boys looked to pummel each other. One of them was held back by one of my prize students. This was the fifth time this year that the same student has helped me break up a fight. He'll make a fine Marine one day. However, when I tackled the other offending student. His head made a nice smash with the side of my face. I don't remember feeling it, only knowing that it happened. Shortly there after, I tasted blood in my mouth. The school nurse informs me that there is a minor gash in my mouth.

Such a lovely way to start a day. BTW, they also spilled my coffee which pissed me off more then it should have. My friend Lynn was nice enough to bring me a replacement.

Don't touch the coffee! (I learned that watching Gibbs ( :Drool2: ) on NCIS.)

Ok, time for a little revelation about myself. Most of you know that I battled drugs for years. What most of you DON'T know is that while I've never been to prison, I DID spend about three months in jail. Here are a couple of things that I've learned.

1. Everybody is innocent. No guilty person has EVER been arrested.

2. Even though everybody is innocent of what they were arrested for, everybody is a kingpin, crimelord, or master criminal. There are simply no nickel and dime crooks.

3. A master criminal will usually try to teach his craft to others.

4. Jailhouse sex doesn't mean that your gay or even curious, as long as its with one of the "girls" on the inside. Men have needs that need to be fulfilled.

5. I absolutely, positively have no business in a place like that ever again.

Gibbs happens to be my nickname at school.

To be fair, I don't think it was his intent. I'm pretty sure that the two of us ramming into each other full steam had more to do with it. What went really well to my surprise was the response of the students from the room I was in. Three of them helped break up the fight which is more then I can say for the three teachers around me at the time. Granted, two of them were women, however the man I believe should have acted more like a man instead of running back to his room to "Calm his students". I also, being pissed at that time, yelled "Get the hell out of my hall" to all the students. The only ones who didn't RUN to their classes were the ones helping me.

I have several friends who spent years in prison, actually. I respect them (as individuals) more than the vast majority of so called "law-abiding" people.

That my be true in jail, but in the prison, there were many who admitted they deserved to be doing time in a state prison. Some of them were actually proud of the fact that they were there.

There was the one woman however, who was so drunk (she was celebrating the fact that she had been released from county jail that day, (what was she serving time for you ask? or maybe you already know, DWI) not only did she not see the man walking down the road, she didn't see the dumpster that she hit and pushed over him crushing him.

All the time she was working in our area all she could talk about was how mad she was to be there because she and her boyfriend were moving into a house together and she couldn't be there (through no fault of her own of course) to pick out the furniture. no wait that was worthy of a :bangwall: :bangwall: :bangwall:

In my region, where many of the kids who act like gang members actually are gang members - mostly Latin Kings - there seems to be some way of overcoming this. The pants are usally waist-level in the front, then sagged in the back, and tend to be tailored for such wear. Also, they don't escape from guards - they shoot guards.
Also, a minor nitpick, but it's the Brits that call them "Chavs". We call them "Knackers".
WTF? You guys have to stop this, now. I thought "knacker" was some sort of reference to being tired.

Ah, I see. From this I can conclude that our wannabe criminals are far easier to deal with, despite their ability to run.
Mikey wrote:WTF? You guys have to stop this, now. I thought "knacker" was some sort of reference to being tired.
It is. "Knackered" means exteremely tired. A "Knacker", however, means urban scumbag.
The term Knackered derives from the "Knacker's Yard", which was where old horses were sent to be made into glue.
I've no idea where actually calling a person a knacker comes from, but it originated as an insult for the travelling community. The term later came to describe wannabe criminals and miscellaneous scumbags due to a percieved similarity between such scum and the Travellers.

The word's also used in other countries. I think that in England, "Knackers" is slang for testicles.
