It didn't bother me so much because the other Orks were blocked by the target Ork's body.Tyyr wrote:1) I need to take better account of mob spacing. We've got some blast and other weapons where mob spacing matters. I need to get things like spacing sorted out well in advance and note them. Deep if I had a do over I'd go ahead and give you the extra guys in blast range of the grenade. From now on assume all mobs are within 2 meters of one another if reasonable.
Why? We seem to be okay with working things out here. It just takes time.Tyyr wrote:2) I'm thinking for larger groups I might need to ponder some simplification to combat such as collecting mobs like the regular Boyz into groups of 3 or 5.

I'm just concerned that if we get into larger groups like three or so of these size groups, it can get to be a pain to roll roll roll like we'd need to do. I dunno, we'll see how it plays out. I've dealt with squadron rules in CBT's aerospace game and they aren't pretty. In order to keep things from getting messed up the extra work pretty much makes squadrons as much work as individuals. We'll see.

Been cruising through the mini's section of dakkadakka and I have been getting some GREAT ideas for orks. I may start to throw some customized mobs at you guys soon based off some of the amazing mini's I've seen.

Re: Adeptus Astartes RP comments.
Interesting article on the size of Space Marine chapters. I kid you not, I started to ponder how Chapters handled all the auxiliaries like Chaplains, Apothecaries, vehicle drivers, dreadnaughts, etc. in regards to the old, "1,000 marine limit," a couple days ago when I was thinking about how I was going to flesh out the Iron Dragons. Then I found this article by random chance this morning. In regards to the issue, apparently they don't, probably. All the auxiliaries exist outside the 1,000 marine core of battle brothers. Probably.

Re: Adeptus Astartes RP comments.
I'm not shocked, in fact we know that several chapters already practice this. Space Wolves, Black Templars and Ultramarines all have a far higher number then the 1k limit.
