I'm Josh. I am 26 from Virginia. I got into Star trek in elementary school watching TNG at 7pm on Tuesday nights. I graduated to DS9 in high school and saw all the movies. After high school I joined the Navy and did 7 years there and now I work for UPS as a loader/Air driver. I am working on my associates in history. I don't really know what I plan to do with it, but we will see.

Hi all
I'm Pete, from the north east of england.
Academically i'm involved in the application of psychology in global strategic trends, (truthfully, its not as exciting as it had seemed when i was a wee one, now am feeling slightly duped by reality, always had hoped for a tuxedo and a beretta, as opposed to a labcoat and a quantitative statistics textbook).
I'm a fan of virtually all sci fi, from the corny cold war paranoia of 1950s B-movies to hyper modern re-envisagings such as 'serenity', and used to be keenly involved in krav maga, until the rather turbulent end of a relationship, and now am too rubenesque to compete, due to quaffing near toxic levels of junk food :D
Everyone on here is great, and its a pleasure being a member of this forum

Hello All

I Aeon, I'm a 26 year old Sailor currently living in Lemoore CA. My intrests are Star Trek (well that is a no brainer), Most things Sci Fi, Weather (as I'm a Meterological Tech for the Navy), books, the web and World of Warcraft. Looking forward to spending some time here.

On a side note I first found DITL at my first duty station (Diego Garcia) about 6 or 7 years ago and have been a regular reader ever since.

Hey, no problem, man. I hadn't seen this one before.

I'm Preston, I'll be 27 in 11 days, I'm from Long Beach, CA originally, and I now live in Houston, TX to be near my Grandma. I am a writer of genre-blending fiction, an avid sci-fi fan, and a student of philosophy and history. I'm also a musician; I play bass guitar, mostly, but also acoustic guitar, organ & piano, and oddly enough, the xylophone. I am an amateur artist and inventor as well.

I am Jim, 34. As anyone reading my posts can probably tell, I am more a fringe fan of a type. I am a die-hard sci-fi fan, but I have never getten very deep into any one universe. Because of that I really do not put one "universe" over another. I also do not really mind bending (or even breaking to a point) cannon. Honestly, it helps that I do not know what most cannon actually is so I wouldn't know it was being broken anyway. (ie: I do not know if x-ship can go that fast or fire that yield of wepon, etc).

Everyone have been nice enough not to call me out on my lack of knowledge so I thank you for that.

I'm Darren, a 25 yo Mechanical Engineering student at the nearby campus of the City University of New York (out of I believe 16 campuses, and some hundreds of thousands of total students - big, like everything New York). I expect to graduate around May '09. I've been watching Trek for quite a while, but haven't gotten into some of the other shows/universes for whatever reasons (aside from obviously, star wars, but I think there's a law somewhere that you're not a human in a first-world country if you've never seen SW ) I didn't really start to think "seriously" about Trek until I started reading sites like DITL and ex-astris-scientia.
