All very well-reasoned, Tyyr. I think for myself, at least, I'm going to avoid doing things like taking a basic Bolter, simply for RP purposes. Also, I'm going to have to ditch the chainaxe. While I like the greater damage potential, that's the weapon of a filthy World Eater - and I don't think a Raven Guard would have forgotten the Drop Site Massacre so easily.

Yeah, I'm more of the toe-to-toe type. Since I can't use Swift Attack w/ Two-Weapon Wielder, I may just take a shield instead of the second melee weapon... believe it or not, I've actually since a pic of a mini for an assault marine with a combat shield.

I'm still pondering the TWW/SA thing. The only thing I'm thinking about right now is that if you combine the two you'll be popping off a semi-auto pistol burst then two sword swings, eventually three. That's a lot of attacks.

Hey, you're the boss (and I won't even bill you to ship a pickup truck from Nova Scotia.) I can live with the prior ruling of just combining Lightning Attack w/ TWW, and reducing it to two attacks per weapon. I'm just talking about adjusting my kit and style to compensate.

Swift Attack grants you TWO attacks in a turn. Two weapon weilder means you can pick between the two. It does NOT mean you get two attacks per turn per weapon.

#1 - That's NOT what two-weapon wielder means. It states specifically that you can attack with both weapons, not that you have to pick between the two.

#2 - There are other instances in which you can make a two-weapon wielder attack AND use a full-action attack with one of them, stated specifically in the DH rulebook. It was a valid case, which Tyyr had looked at and come up with a compromise. As it stands, I won't be able to use the both together, but will be able to use it as Swift Attack once I attain the more-potent Lightning Attack. This was quite a few pages ago... you been asleep at the wheel?

Yes, it does. If you have multiple attacks (2 or 3) then you must pick how many attacks you grant to each weapon.

Since this was two posts ago. You should remember your own actions before you open your mouth.

As to Tyyr changing the rules, thats all fine. I was commenting on your edit of the given rules. Though it would be nice to get 2 free full actions every turn... it would screw over the whole point of the game. Swift Attack is a FULL ACTION, which means you don't have anymore full actions on top of that.

I'm actually trying to avoid changing the rules as much as possible. Gear and character generation a bit but once we play it should be plain old DH rules.

The way I read it TWW is supposed to let you pull the dual pistols or dual swords trick. Swift attack lets you get two attacks with one weapon. It's not something you can mix. When you get to lightning attack which gives you three attacks you get three attacks. If you've got TWW (Ballistic and melee) then you can split those attacks between your two weapons how you see fit. That's how I read it.

Which we agreed to, pages ago. What Deep said was that with TWW, you still have to pick one weapon or the other, which is patently false.
