So it seems.Tyyr wrote:I have no issues abusing power when it suits me. Dreadnaught chaplain with dragon skulls suits me.
Two things here come to mind. First being we should have a new thread for this. Second we need a mod to move all the talk about this over to that thread.

Agreed.
If a mod could would you please move the Space Marines discussion to a "Space Marines RP" thread?

I tried, but it kept only taking the posts I marked on the last page. Well, it's a start.
*EDIT* OK, that should do it.

Re: Adeptus Astartes RP comments.
So, is there a decision as to the chapter(s) we're using, or the origins of our situation?

Not really. This is something that's a long way off. With Dark Heresy and the Chem Dogs along with LH's Survival game I think we're saturated. I don't want to start another game in the midst of this and start hurting everything.

Deathwatch is probably a decent way to throw together Brothers from different Chapters, it keeps the DH theme as well.
Edit: Well if folks are ok with a slow game I doubt it'll hurt anything. If anything WH40K killed all the other RP genres.

Well my first idea was shot down because about half the known participants read the damn book. So at this point I'm trying to figure out what to do. The DH idea I have doesn't mesh well with Space Marines.

Hmm, infested Space Hulk, something on there the big I wants would work.
Kill team against an Ork Warboss?

I'm in favor of something like that.
Hmm, a Deathwatch Kill team working for an Inquisitor. Ork warboss is good. The average mob is big and tough, the big nasties even worse.

I was thinking of Deathwatch, because folks can pick marines from almost any chapter, and almost any type - in fluff, they've included librarians, chaplains, assault marines, devastators... IDK about termies, though.

An Astartes RP? Count me in.
With regards to chapter, I'd go with a Deathwatch team. I'm sure we could think up an excuse to get them into pretty much any situation we'd like.

Re: Adeptus Astartes RP comments.
I'm thinking I'll go with Deathwatch and an Ordo Xenos inquisitor. I'll post up a link to the character creation rules I wanna use tonight. I'll give some thought to what kind of marines are allowed.
