An idea might be a group of renegade SM's. Marines exiled from different Chapters that have formed their own group, sort of like the final book in the Ultramarines Omnibus or the Soul Drinkers (without the massive amount of suck).Tyyr wrote:Yeah well having two people know the plot right off the bat plus me kinda sucks out the two or three twists that make it interesting.

Not bad. As an alternative, how about marines from a penitent chapter - Mantis Warriors, Executioners, Lamenters, etc.?
BTW - If you removed the suck from a Soul Drinkers book, there'd be nothing left.

I could get behind that. I'd like to play an Apothecary anyways so chapter and all that isn't too important. Unless it's the Wolves, love those guys. Not bad. As an alternative, how about marines from a penitent chapter - Mantis Warriors, Executioners, Lamenters, etc.?

I was thinking devastator a/o sternguard. Or an assault marine. Perhaps even a techmarine, if nobody takes one and we feel like we need one.

I was thinking about taking a Terminator Sergeant!Tyyr wrote:I meant Crank, my mistake.
Hmm, so want to do an Iron Snakes game. Exiles could work, and could allow us a bit of latitude in the way they act.

Re: Chem Dogs Sign In/Discussion Thread
I think even a SM needs both hands for a lascannon.
Anyhoo, I guess I'll wait to see what kind of marine to play until we find out what chapter(s) we're from, origins of our unit, etc. I keep leaning toward Doom Eagle assault marine, though.

Re: Chem Dogs Sign In/Discussion Thread
Coming right off of Brothers of the Snake I'm thinking Iron Serpent but I literally finished the book two hours ago.
I'm kind of digging this fan created chapter. No real history that I know, just looks good:
I'm particularly digging:
And of course, their dreadnaught chaplain:
Or the classic:
And knowing me there's always...

Not a Terminator IIRC. Even if he does, no reason he can't use both hands.Mikey wrote:I think even a SM needs both hands for a lascannon.
Agreed, we can wait till we know for sure what chapter before we start picking characters.Anyhoo, I guess I'll wait to see what kind of marine to play until we find out what chapter(s) we're from, origins of our unit, etc. I keep leaning toward Doom Eagle assault marine, though.

Fan-created chapter? Are you sure? Those first couple of pics look an awful lot like Exorcists.
