Not bad. Milo's going to be taking a more investigative approach - gonna be getting Interrogation to go with that excruciator.

BTW, Sionnach - were you going to take Basic Weapon Training (SP) to go with the scatter-gun?
P.S. If BS is an issue, take the Blazer rounds from IH (Void/naval section.) Instead of just igniting the target, they pretty much turn the shotgun into a flamer - target makes an agility test, rather than you rolling to hit.

Best to have a few spares. I'll just add those two to my inventory. Never know how many of you guys I'll have to put back together again.
I'll nab an injector, though. Thanks for pointing that one out.

Right, so, remaining money - 400 Thrones, a nice round number.
Right, off to update my CS.

Ooh, I like. Bit expensive, unfortunately. I'll take 16 (64 total).P.S. If BS is an issue, take the Blazer rounds from IH (Void/naval section.) Instead of just igniting the target, they pretty much turn the shotgun into a flamer - target makes an agility test, rather than you rolling to hit.

Go ahead.Sionnach Glic wrote:Coupled with the 16 rounds I already have and the 20 normal rounds I just bought. The extra twelve are just for variety, in case we run into something nasty. Also, I'll be expecting you lot to battle the big nasty monsters while I find somewhere safe to hide until all the noise stops.
Actually, I'm currently contemplating a shotgun to give me a bit more punch.
Well, it's not as though I'm in danger of running out of money, so I may as well go nuts and buy a big gun.
So, pump-action shotgun - 75
40 shells - 2
56 Inferno rounds - 3
Total - 80
Remaining money - 469
Pfft, details.Cpl Kendall wrote:And a traitor....Lighthawk wrote:Sweet, we got a medic
If all that's okay with you, Kendall, I'll go update my character sheet.

You know, it just occurred to me as I was writing up my first post that Karibi and Haxta shouldn't really get along all that well. He's grown up and studied in a fairly progressive (by Imperium standards, that is) society, which would undoubtedly see the AdMech's hoarding of knowledge and prevention of local research as something to be despised and opposed. It's quite likely that Karibi himself would hold such a view. Given that Haxta's now showing very clearly her alliegence, I think I'll start to work a little minor hostility towards her (or more precisely, her employers) into any interaction he has with her from now on. It'll be interesting to see how she responds.

Good point. I think I should probably get on better with Haxta and Pahr; both are void-born, and additionally the sight of enginseers would be a pretty common norm for someone who grew up on an Imperial Navy warship.

Sounds like fun to me. Though really, our characters haven't interacted much at all up to this point. I think the only direct and personal interaction we've had was you handing me the auspex and then me giving it back. Everything else has been group interactions between us.Sionnach Glic wrote:You know, it just occurred to me as I was writing up my first post that Karibi and Haxta shouldn't really get along all that well. Well no, probably not. The threat of barely contained violence is Phebia's and Milo's relationship. Ours is likely to be more a war of ideas and prinicples.

Don't be too sure that Karibi won't be willing to stab you in the back if it suits him. He certainly has no reason to like you, and will be more than happy to let something bad happen to you (or make something bad happen to you) if it's in his interests. His spiriting-away of some rather valuable artifacts at the end of the last mission convinced those in charge of the Colleges to give him access to some rather rare texts (thus the new Forbidden Lore skills), so I've decided that, rightly or wrongly, Karibi's under the belief that further such acts will allow him to quickly gain rank and influence back in the Colleges. So you can probably expect him to be a bit more ruthless when it comes to getting his way this time around.

Just remember as a point of reference, heresy, betrayal, etc. Those are uh, immolation offenses to a Sororitas. She really is a nice girl though.

Be careful with that - the presence of a greater dislike (me) is probably the only thing keeping her from expressing her distaste for a follower of the Cult Mechanicus (as opposed to a follower of the Imperial Cult.)Lighthawk wrote: Phebia's and Milo's relationship.

I don't know, she hasn't seemed all that opposed to the AM. I think she see us more as odd balls than threats to the proper order of things.Mikey wrote:Be careful with that - the presence of a greater dislike (me) is probably the only thing keeping her from expressing her distaste for a follower of the Cult Mechanicus (as opposed to a follower of the Imperial Cult.)Lighthawk wrote: Phebia's and Milo's relationship.

Technically, Karibi's done nothing wrong yet. I don't recall him ever signing a form saying that he can't keep whatever he finds.Tyyr wrote:Just remember as a point of reference, heresy, betrayal, etc. Those are uh, immolation offenses to a Sororitas. She really is a nice girl though.
On that note, I still have those poisoned spines I yanked from the remains of the first Slaught Construct we ran into. Never know when deadly neurotoxins will come in handy.
Yeah, don't get injured would be my advice.Lighthawk wrote:...lovely, so our medic might have reason not to try his hardest should I get injured. That's reassuring.

You're somewhat misguided servants of the Emperor. Like many you worship an aspect of him but you lack the usual "feral world ignorance" excuse. The Ecclisarchy tolerates you and you're useful so you're well down on the list of groups needing a good purging. So long as the "Praise the Machine-God"'s are kept to a minimum she's got no reason to really despise her.
Phebia's dislike for the AM's worship practices and her hatred of everything Trask is are totally different levels of hatred.

Yeah, the Sororitas aren't exactly an organization that gets hung up on technicalities.Sionnach Glic wrote:Technically, Karibi's done nothing wrong yet. I don't recall him ever signing a form saying that he can't keep whatever he finds.
